Khalil Rountree is an American mixed martial artist currently affiliated with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) where he fights in the Light Heavyweight division. He has won several fights in UFC and also holds a record of 4-0 in his prior career fighting with the Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA). He has had a successful career with the UFC as well. In 2017, he defeated Paul Craig at the UFC Fight Night: Nelson vs. Ponzinibbio, thereby registering a resounding victory. On a personal note, the mixed martial artist enjoys listening to music and dancing; he is a big fan of the disco group Village People. When he’s not fighting, he can be seen spending time with his furry friend, Bruce. His simple style and unforgettable moustache definitely make him stand out from others. He is also known for inspiring others and encouraging people to follow their dreams. He is indeed an icon for black American youths to emulate. Career
  • Khalil Rountree made a record of 6-0 in his amateur fights while working under the Tuff-N-Uff and King of the Cage banners. In his professional fighting career with the Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA), he made a record of 4-0.
  • Then in 2016, he competed on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Joanna vs. Team Cláudia. Rountree won the first round via knockout but lost the elimination round via submission. Later on, he was brought back for the semi-final round as one of the players withdrew himself from the game due to an injury. Rountree went on to win via knockout in the 1st round and headed to the finale.
  • On July 8, 2016, the American MMA made his promotional debut at Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and fought against Andrew Sanchez. Unfortunately, he lost the match via unanimous decision. Then in November, he faced Tyson Pedro and submitted via rear-naked choke in the first round.
  • Rountree’s third fight was with Daniel Jolly at the UFC Fight Night: Bermudez vs. Korean Zombie in February 2017. He won in the first round via knockout. Then in July, he fought against Paul Craig and again won via knockout in round 1. Rountree was about to face Gökhan Saki in December 2017. However the latter backed off due to injury and was replaced by Michal Oleksiejczuk. Rountree lost this fight.
