She is famous for appearing as Wanda McCullough in the sitcom ‘The Bernie Mac Show’ and as Lieutenant Roberta Warren in the TV series ‘Z Nation’. Career
Kellita Smith began her career in the entertainment industry as a model before she started performing on stage. Her theatrical works include ‘Tell It Like It Tiz’, ‘Feelings’, ‘No Place to be Somebody’, ‘The Thirteenth Thorn’ and ‘One Woman Two Lives’. She made her TV debut in 1993 through an episode of ‘In Living Color’. The following year, she was cast as Tracy for the series ‘Martin’ after which she had a recurring role in ‘Sister, Sister’. In 1995, Smith appeared on the big screen, in the film ‘The Crossing Guard’.
Soon after this, she did a number of TV projects like ‘The Wayans Bros’, ‘Dangerous Minds’, ‘High Incident’ and ‘Malcolm & Eddie’. The American actress was then offered ‘The Jamie Foxx Show’ in 1997. Three years later, she did an episode in the series ‘For Your Love’ as well as appeared in the movie ‘Retiring Tatiana’ and the TV film ‘Masquerade’. Then in 2001, Smith was cast in ‘The Bernie Mac Show’. From 2004 to 2011, she did numerous big screen projects including ‘Hair Show’, ‘Fair Game’, ‘King's Ransom’, ‘Feel the Noise’, ‘Roll Bounce’, ‘Three Can Play That Game’ and ‘Conspiracy X’.
In the year 2012, the actress joined the cast of ‘The First Family’ as First Lady Katherine Johnson. The following year, she did the flick ‘The Love Section’ which was followed by ‘Imperial Dreams’ and ‘The Choir Director’ in 2014. After this, she acted in the television films ‘A Deadly Adoption’ and ‘Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No’. During that time, she was also cast in the main role of Lieutenant Roberta Warren for ‘Z Nation’. In 2017, she appeared in the show ‘Hell's Kitchen’ and the flick ‘The Preacher's Son’.
