Katrina Law is an American actress, singer and model best known for her breakthrough role of Mira in the Starz television series, ‘Spartacus’. She portrayed the slave girl in the first two seasons of the series, namely, ‘Spartacus: Blood and Sand’ and ‘Spartacus: Vengeance’. She is equally famous for portraying the DC super villainess Nyssa al Ghul since the second season of the The CW television series ‘Arrow’. Some of her other well-known television appearances include ‘Third Watch’, ‘Reba’, ‘Chuck’, ‘Legend of the Seeker’, ‘CSI: Miami’ and ‘Ch:os:en’. She has also acted in the web series ‘The Rookie: CTU’ and ‘The Resistance’, and the Hallmark Original television movies ‘Snow Bride’ and ‘12 Gifts of Christmas’. Her film credits include ‘Lucky Numbers’, ‘Choker’, ‘A New Tomorrow’, ‘Death Valley’ and ‘Checkmate’, as well as the short film ‘3 Minutes’. Apart from her acting roles, she is also the founding member of the band Soundboard Fiction. She appeared on the cover of the March 2015 issue of MOST Magazine, while the accompanying article included a lengthy interview of her, with a stunning photoshoot by her favorite photographer Brandin Shaeffer.

Acting Career
At the age of ten, Katrina Law started her journey towards fame when she appeared on television for the first time as part of a Chinese movie in which she can be seen talking in Mandarin. During her teenage years she represented her home state of New Jersey on the national television after being crowned Miss New Jersey Teen USA. She graduated from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a degree in Theatre and went to Philadelphia and New York to pursue further courses in acting. In 2000, she earned a small role in the comedy film ‘Lucky Numbers’, which was directed by Nora Ephron and starred John Travolta. She earned her SAG status on the set of the film and landed a guest role in the NBC crime drama series ‘Third Watch’ in 2001.
Katrina Law continued to appear on television as well as act in independent films in the following years. However, she got her big break after she worked on the web series, ‘The Resistance’, in 2010. The low budget series, which was directed by Adrian Picardi, was picked up by Ghost House Pictures and Starz Media after the release of its four short teasers on YouTube. Law, who was in a lead role in the series, went on to star in another Starz series, Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Her latest television endeavor is the 2017 CBS crime-thriller, ‘Training Day’, in which she plays the role of Detective Rebecca Lee.

Musical Career
It is a little known fact that Katrina Law is also a talented singer and serves as the lead singer and bass player in the Southern California band Soundboard Fiction. She started singing at the age of six, and later learnt to play both acoustic guitar and bass guitar. She later formed the band along with some of her friends as a means of creative outlet for the group. While they initially played gigs at various events, they eventually turned it into a recording studio band so that they can focus on their creativity, avoiding the stress of playing live gigs. The band has released three albums so far. One of their most popular singles is "Ghost Town".
Personal Life
Katrina Law was born on September 30, 1985, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was raised in South Jersey. Her father served in the US armed forces during the Vietnam War, where he met her mother who worked as a bartender. Being born to a Catholic father of German and Italian origin, and a Buddhist mother of Taiwanese origin, she learnt tolerance and patience early on in her life. Noticing how energetic she was as a child, her mother enrolled her in a number of activities. She learnt to dance, took voice coaching, went to the gym, learnt karate, and also played soccer. She participated in sport as part of her varsity team, performed as a cheerleader, and became a member of The National Honors Society during her high school years. She initially enrolled into Richard Stockton College of New Jersey to study Marine Biology. However, she switched her major to Theatre Arts after getting a role in The Chorus Line for Summer Stock Theatre.
According to her, she learnt to balance her personal and professional life early on in her career, and is happy in her married life with fellow actor, Keith Andreen. The couple got married in 2013 after three years of dating. As a cat lover, she convinced her husband to take in couple alley cats, which eventually involved her with the Kitt Crusaders charity. She also supports Children’s Miracle Network, Variety Children’s Charity, and The International Rescue Committee.
