Kathryn Erbe, born as Kathryn Elsbeth Erbe, is an American actress famous for playing the role of Detective Alexandra Eames in the crime drama ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’ and of Shirley Bellinger in the HBO series ‘Oz’. She has also appeared in a number of other TV programs including ‘Chicken Soup’, 'Homicide: Life on the Street', 'Blue Bloods', 'Conviction', 'How to Get Away with Murder' and 'The Sinner'. The actress has done numerous films and short films, such as 'Rich in Love', 'The Addiction', 'Love from Ground Zero', 'Stir of Echoes', '3 Backyards', 'Mother's House' and 'Mistress America', to name a few. In addition, she has acted in a handful of plays as well. Her theatre projects include 'The Grapes of Wrath', 'The Speed of Darkness', 'A Month in the Country' and 'The Father'. On a personal note, Erbe is a single, strong, and independent woman. She is a loving mother of two children.
