Joseph Franklin ‘Joey’ Bragg is an American actor-comedian, known for his performances in the ‘Disney Channel’s’ TV series ‘Liv and Maddie’ and TV movie ‘Fred 3: Camp Fred.’ He is often known by the names of his characters in these TV series and TV movie, ‘Joey Rooney’ and ‘Peter Magoo,’ respectively. Born and raised in California, Bragg began performing as a stand-up comedian during his teenage years. Starting with small roles at the age of 16, he soon was noticed in the TV film, ‘Fred 3: Camp Fred.’ Subsequently, he featured in a number of series and films, including ‘The Outfield,’ ‘Mark and Russell’s Wild Ride,’ and ‘The Thundermans’ among others. Next, Bragg will be seen in upcoming TV series, ‘Total Eclipse,’ and comedy movie, ‘Sid is Dead.’

Childhood & Early Life
Joey Bragg was born on July 20, 1996, in Union City, California, in a Jewish family. He is second of the four siblings with an older brother, Jack and he has a sister named Dove. He studied at the ‘James Logan High School,’ in the ‘New Haven Unified School District’ in San Francisco Bay Area.
Earlier Bragg played ice hockey and appeared on the ‘California Cougars Pee Wee ‘B’ Ice Hockey Championship’ when he was 12. He still is a graceful skater. At the age of 13 he began performing as a stand-up comedian. Locally he earned a name as a young comedian, and also won comedy competitions in and around the San Francisco Bay Area.

Career
Bragg began his acting career in 2012, at the age of 16. His initial acting assignments were TV movie, ‘Gulliver Quinn,’ in which he essayed the role of ‘Karl,’ and a short film ‘The OD,’ wherein he featured as a ‘peculiar boy.’
Later in the year 2012, he landed the role of ‘Peter Magoo’ in the TV film ‘Fred 3: Camp Fred.’ His performance in this movie was noted and appreciated.
Bragg is best known for his portrayal of ‘Joey Rooney’ in the ‘Disney Channel’s’ sitcom ‘Liv and Maddie.’ This popular series was aired from 2013 to 2017. In an episode of the TV series ‘Jessie’ (2014), he reprised his role of ‘Joey Rooney.’
In 2015’s high school baseball film, ‘The Outfield,’ Bragg starred alongside Nash Grier and Cameron Dallas. Here he played the role of ‘Austin York.’ In the same year, he co-headlined in the role of ‘Mark Wellner,’ in the Disney XD TV film, ‘Mark and Russell’s Wild Ride.’
He has worked as a voice actor for the character of ‘Nick Pinpowzky’ in the film ‘Scratch and Ship.’ Bragg has also worked in various other TV series, such as – 2016’s ‘Foursome, as ‘Stan,’ then as ‘Jake’ in an episode of 2018’s ‘Hacking High School,’ and as ‘Ben’ in the series ‘Love Daily’ (2018).
In 2016, Bragg featured as a teenage serial killer ‘Kyle Ecklund’ in the police procedural crime drama, ‘Criminal Minds.’ He was cast as ‘Seth’ in 3 out of 8 episodes of 2017 Netflix satirical comedy series, ‘Wet Hot America Summer: Ten Years Later.’
In ‘Nickelodeon’s’ 2018 TV series ‘The Thundermans’ Bragg performed as ‘Balfour / The Gamer’ in the episode, ‘The Thunder Games.’ He portrayed the character of ‘Ben’ on the Netflix film, ‘Father of the Year’ (2018). Here, Bridgit Mendler starred opposite him and Jared Sandler appeared as his friend.
Bragg appears in the role of ‘Richard’ in the movie ‘Reach,’ which is in post-production stage. His forthcoming projects include, the TV series ‘Total Eclipse’ (2019), where he essays the role of ‘Joshua Mingos,’ and the comedy film ‘Sid is Dead,’ in which he stars in the titular role of ‘Sid Sandagger.’
