Her first onscreen appearance was in an episode of the crime drama series ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’. Jasika Nicole’s first role on television was a guest role in an episode of ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’. Her debut on the big screen was in the 2006 American dance drama film ‘Take the Lead’, which has been directed by Liz Friedlander. The film was a commercial success, earning over twice its budget. It received mostly mixed reviews. In 2007, she appeared in another film ‘Get Faamous’ as well as the TV film ‘The Mastersons of Manhattan’.
In 2008, she gained fame for playing one of the main roles in the science fiction mystery TV series ‘Fringe’. The series was about the fictional “Fringe Division” of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which investigates supernatural mysteries. The show aired till 2013, covering five seasons. It was mostly praised by critics. It earned several awards and nominations, including two Emmy nominations.
In 2010, Jasika Nicole was seen in the romantic comedy film ‘She's Out of My League’, which was directed by Jim Field Smith. The film was a commercial success, earning nearly $50 million on a budget of $20 million. Its critical reception was mixed.
