Jaime Pressly Biography

Before she stepped into Tinsel town, she took gymnastics and dance lessons for around eleven years. On moving to California before the completion of high school she was offered many modeling assignments and made it to the cover page of ‘Teen Magazine’. However, when she was approached with a modeling contract based in Japan, she had to seek legal emancipation from her parents as none could accompany her on the trip. Thus began her career as a model, she made it to the covers of several international magazines such as ‘Playboy’, ‘Maxim’ and ‘Allure’. Around the same time she was offered recurring and minor roles in TV series and films such as Violet in the 1997 film ‘Poison Ivy: The New Seduction’, she played Audrey in the TV series ‘Jack and Jill’ and was cast in ‘Not Another Teen Movie’ and ‘Joe Dirt’ in 2001. The following year ‘Stuff’ magazine ranked her eighth out of ‘102 Sexiest Women of the World’.

With her initial success she launched her own bikini line called ‘J’Aime’ which later developed into a full clothing line.

She reached the pinnacle of her career in 2005 when she was cast as Joy Turner in the NBC sitcom ‘My Name is Earl’ for which she won an Emmy and was nominated for Golden Globe. Since then she has appeared in many Music Videos such as ‘Girls of Summer’ by Aerosmith, a cover of ‘Tainted Love’ and more.

Her recent performances in the lead role of ‘Jennifer Falls’, ‘I Hate My Teenage Daughter’ and as Megan in the film ‘A Haunted House 2’ have been spectacular.

Jaime began her career as a teenage model and artist and she has grown as a performer with time. The beautiful blonde aimed for the moon and was brave enough to establish a career in the fashion and entertainment industry on her own terms, unlike many young women of her age.

She is a wealthy businesswoman and juggles her role as a mother, actress and entrepreneur with ease. She struggled throughout adolescence with Bulimia, an eating disorder. However, she dealt with it diligently, putting aside all excuses and didn’t allow it to sabotage her career.

Jaime has always made fitness a priority; she eats healthy and occasionally indulges in junk food craving, but never forgets to hit the gym. She loves watching movies and learning from the stellar performances of other actors. Although she has a packed schedule, she takes out time for her family and children.

In an interview she stated that on the unfaithful day of September 11, in 2001 she had planned to book a seat on one of the planes that later crashed into the World Trade Center, but decided against the bookings since they were early morning flights and she is grateful to God for having changed her mind.

Jaime Pressly was born in North Carolina on July 30, 1977 to a dance instructor, Brenda Sue, and a car salesman, James Liston Pressly. Her family moved to California in 1992 where she continued with her studies, but later dropped out to pursue a career in modeling.

She is a professional gymnast and an outstanding dancer. After establishing her career, she met DJ Eric Calvo in 1996 and dated him for a couple of years. She had her first son, Dezi James Calvo, from him in 2007. However, shortly after the birth of their son, the couple split.

Thereafter she dated entertainment lawyer, Simran Singh. They tied the knot on 26thSeptember 2009, but soon trotted separate paths after two years of marriage. Since her divorce Jaime hasn’t been linked with any celebrity and hasn’t spoken of being in a relationship yet.
