George John Santo Pietro III began his career in the town of Beverly Hills by taking up various odd jobs. He established himself as a hotelier, camera technician, and producer of TV shows over the years. He was involved with several TV series across the 1990s as part of the production crew and he specialized working as the dolly grip. His first credited TV series was ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ in 1990. He slowly started getting more work in the ensuing months. Other series he was involved with in the 1990s include ‘They Came from Outer Space’, ‘Northern Exposure’, ‘Star Trek: Voyager’, ‘Brooklyn South’, and ‘L. A. Doctors’. His movie credits from the same decade include ‘Into the Sun’ (1991), ‘In the Army Now’ (1994), ‘Payback’ (1995), and ‘Freaky Friday’ (1995), among others. In 1997, he turned a producer with the short ‘Scratch Merchants’.

While working as a part of the production crew, Pietro also managed his famous Italian restaurant ‘Santopietro’s’, which was located in Bel-Air, California. As the restaurant grew popular with each passing year, it also started attracting many popular celebrities as regular clients. At this point, George was successful as a businessman and developer, but he hadn’t found fame in the entertainment industry. When Vanna White, a popular actress and TV personality, visited the restaurant, sparks flew between the duo. He became a name to reckon with after his relationship with the TV personality was made public. His businesses grew fast during this period. A few years later, he opened another restaurant specializing in sushi, named ‘The Shushi-Ko Complex’, which also became equally famous and boasted of a high-profile clientele.

Since then, his exposure in Hollywood has increased exponentially and Pietro started working with famous names. In the 2000s, he worked in popular TV series, such as ‘Then Came You’, ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’, ‘The X-Files’, ‘Alias’, ‘Brothers & Sisters’, ‘The Sarah Silverman Program’, ‘Pushing Daisies’, and ‘Cold Case.’ His movie credits from this decade include ‘He’s Just Not That into You’, ‘500 Days of Summer’, ‘Over Her Dead Body’, ‘License to Wed’, and ‘The Day After Tomorrow’. He also turned a director with the 2001 drama thriller ‘Kept’. The movie was panned by the critics and tanked at the box office. In the next decade, he worked in the TV projects ‘Outsourced’, ‘Parenthood’, ‘The Nine Lives of Chloe King’, ‘Shameless’, ‘Perception’, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘True Blood’, The Bridge’, ‘The Big Bang Theory’, ‘Two and a Half Men’, ‘House of Lies’, ‘Ray Donovan’ and ‘The Good Place’. More recently, he worked in an episode of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’ and the popular movie ‘Aquaman.’

As a real estate businessman, he is said to have sold his Beverly Hills villa, valued at $50 million, in 2007. As he became more involved with real estate, he started building luxurious properties and renting/selling them. His previous residence, co-owned with his ex-wife Vanna White, was sold for $47 million. While Pietro is generally out of the radar as far as entertainment news is concerned, his success as a real estate developer has been on the rise for the last two decades.

George Santo Pietro was born on December 12, 1946, in Beverly Hills, California. Pietro first married Linda Evans, who had been his longtime girlfriend for several years, in 1981. The couple had a daughter, Andrea, born in 1982. They decided to end their relationship in 1984. He was next married to the popular actress and TV presenter, Vanna White, from 1989 to 2002. The couple has two children from this marriage. Their son, Nicholas, was born in 1994 while their daughter, Giovanna, was born in 1997. Later, in 2005, he married Melissa Mascari, a TV producer, after dating her for a year. In 2007, the couple welcomed their daughter, Chiara.
