Etika Bio

Etika started out as a rapper and in 2007, he released his famous mixtape Written in Ice. He later moved towards modeling in 2011 and remained in the industry until 2015. During his modeling days, he made his YouTube debut and started his channel, EWNetwork. He started publishing reaction videos and gaming streams on his channel. Gradually, Etika started gaining ground on YouTube. However, in 2018, his YouTube channel got banned as he violated the policies.

Etika launched his second channel, EtikaFRFX, after the banning of EWNetwork. His new channel became a great success, as within months the channel had amassed a considerable subscriber base. But EtikaFRFX was also subsequently banned by YouTube due to policy violations. In 2019, he came out with another channel TR1Iceman, which is still active on YouTube.

Etika name got embroiled in several controversies. In 2018, he uploaded pornographic content on his channel EWNetwork, which led to the termination of his channel. In 2019, his second channel, EtikaFRFX, was also terminated after he published sexually explicit content. Around the same time, he was banned on Twitch for using offensive language. Etika’s fans took note of his unusual behavior and argued that the YouTube star was not the right frame of mind.

In 2019, just months before his death, he posted on Twitter about his desire to kill himself. Following his tweet, he was hospitalized and his former girlfriend Christine Cardona took care of him.

Desmond Daniel Amofah or Etika was born to Owuraku Amofah and Sabrina Amofah on May 12, 1990, in Brooklyn, New York. His father, Owuraku Amofah, is a well-known politician and lawyer in Ghana. Etika’s zodiac sign was Taurus.

Etika was a person who lived life on his own terms. Etika was known to be quite an extrovert and was never shied away from doing what was on his mind.

Etika died on June 19, 2019, at the age of 29. Right before his death, he uploaded a video on channel TR1Iceman where he talked about his mental issues and apologized to his fans and friends. A few days later, his body was recovered near the East River in New York City and the cause of death was mentioned as suicide by drowning.
