Elisabeth Harnois entered the show business at a very young age and appeared in several commercials for different brands as a child artist. She made her debut in the film industry in 1985 with the role of ‘Abbie Grainger’ in the American/Canadian Christmas fantasy film ‘One Magic Christmas’ by Phillip Borsos. The subsequent year, she appeared in the 1986 film ‘Where Are the Children?’, an adaptation of the original novel of the same name by Mary Higgins Clark. She played the role of ‘Missy Eldridge’ in the movie.

She made her television debut with a role in NBC drama series ‘Highway to Heaven’ and later appeared in the 1987 CBS fantasy-drama series ‘Beauty and the Beast’ as a child artist. She also appeared in ‘Judith Krantz's Till We Meet Again’ as ‘Young Freddy’, ‘Timeless Tales from Hallmark’ as ‘Emily’, and ‘Midnight Patrol: Adventures in the Dream Zone’ as ‘Rosie’. In 1992, she was chosen to play the lead role of ‘Alice’ in Walt Disney's live-action musical television series ‘Adventures in Wonderland’, based on the original animated series ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

Elisabeth appeared in the films ‘Façade’ as ‘Kate’ in 1999, ‘Swimming Upstream’ as ‘Julie Sutton’ in 2002 and several television productions including television films like ‘The Warlord: Battle for the Galaxy’ as ‘Maggi Sorenson’ in 1998 and ‘My Date with the President's Daughter’ as ‘Hallie Richmond’ in 1998. She was signed to play the character of ‘Christina Nickson’ in the Fox Network television series ‘Point Pleasant’.

She appeared in films like the 2005 American black comedy/satirical ‘Pretty Persuasion’ alongside Evan Rachel Wood, James Woods, and Ron Livingston. She also appeared as a guest in several television shows like ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘One Tree Hill’, ‘Cold Case’, ‘Dirt’, ‘Without a Trace’, ‘90210’, and ‘Miami Medical’. Between 2011 and 2015, she played the character of ‘Morgan Brody’, a Crime Scene Investigator in the American procedural forensics crime drama television series ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ which aired on CBS.

Elisabeth Rose Harnois was born in Detroit, Michigan, on May 26, 1979. She has four brothers and is the eldest among the siblings. She went to St. Mel's School in Woodland Hills and Canyon Springs High School in Moreno Valley for her early education. Later, she attended the Wesleyan University and graduated from there in 2001 with a major in film studies.

Elisabeth has always maintained a very private life and has stayed away from the limelight. It was reported that she once dated actor Jesse McCartney for a while before breaking up with him. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
