Drew Van Acker is an American actor best known for his roles as Jason DiLaurentis in the teen drama ‘Pretty Little Liars’ and as the lead character of Ian Archer in the TV series ‘Tower Prep’. Van Acker was born in New York and developed an interest in sports as a youth. Though he got the opportunity to pursue a career in soccer, he later decided to focus on acting instead. Thereby, he moved to Los Angeles and made his acting debut with a guest role in the crime-comedy drama series ‘Castle’. He became popular after he played the main role in the American TV series ‘Tower Prep’, which aired on Cartoon Network. The series earned positive reviews from critics. His role in the popular series ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ in which he had a recurring role, helped him cement his place in the acting industry. He made his film debut with a supporting role in the 2012 war film ‘Fortress’. The film was a huge success commercially. Two years later, he appeared in another film ‘Camouflage’.

Drew Van Acker’s acting career began with a guest role in the TV series ‘Castle’. The series revolved around a mystery novelist and a detective who solve unusual crimes in New York City. He next played a minor role in the TV series ‘Greek’. He played his first main role in the TV series ‘The Lake’. It premiered on The WB.com. The story followed four families as they spend their summer around a fictional place named Lake Eleanor.
He came to popularity with his role in the TV series ‘Tower Prep’, which aired on Cartoon Network. The show aired for only one season, which consisted of thirteen episodes. The show, which was created by Paul Dini, starred Acker in the lead role, along with actors, such as Ryan Pinkston, Elise Gatien and Dyana Liu. Acker also became known for his role in the teen drama mystery thriller series ‘Pretty Little Liars’. The series starred actors, such as Troian Bellisario, Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse in addition to him. It aired from 2010 to 2017, and over the years, it won many awards and nominations.
He made his film debut in 2012 in the war film ‘Fortress’. Directed by Michael R Philips, the film became very successful commercially, and earned $10 million on a budget of less than $400,000. He next appeared in the TV series ‘Devious Maids’ in a main role from 2013 to 2015. In 2014, he appeared in another film ‘Camouflage’.
His most recent work was in the crime thriller TV series ‘Training Day’. Starring actors such as Bill Payton, Justin Cornwell and Katrina Law, the series was a follow-up to the 2001 film of the same name. It was, however, cancelled after just one season, as it had received mostly negative reviews.

Drew Van Acker was born in New York, US on 2 April 1986. He studied at Shawnee High School, where he used to act in drama classes, and also played soccer. He received a soccer scholarship to attend Towson University in Maryland. While attending college, he pursued theater alongside and ultimately decided to follow an acting career. After taking a number of acting courses, he moved to New York City and eventually to Los Angeles. He is currently single.
