Who is Dr. DisRespect? Everything You Need to Know

In March 2011, Guy Beahm started working with ‘Sledgehammer Games’ as a community manager. He also became an expert in multiplayer games online. It was around this time Beahm came up with his Dr. DisRespect persona while playing ‘Halo 2’ on Xbox. Xbox offered him the chance to voice chat or engage with other online players and he developed a powerful and dominant online persona. He named the character Dr. DisRespect. He solidified the character’s legacy, in the gaming community by backing up his trash talk with strong gameplay.

Beahm started posting gameplay content on YouTube in 2010. His first video titled ‘Dr DisRespect Gaming: The Docs Very 1st Video,’ posted on January 11, 2010, focused on ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ gameplay. Following that, his videos like ‘Dr DisRespect Gaming: Bleeding Scar-H EP1’ and the ‘Dr DisRespect: The Theater Realm’ series made him incredibly popular in the game streaming community. It was his funny, boastful, and over-the-top commentary that endeared him to fans. His success reached new heights when the gaming channel ‘Machinima’ featured him in multiple videos.

However, in 2011, he stopped posting videos on his YouTube channel. He did not take a hiatus from work, as he continued working with ‘Sledgehammer Games’. He also became active on Twitch around the same time, gaining more traction in the streaming community. He was also promoted to Multiplayer Level Designer by ‘Sledgehammer Games’ in 2012, for ‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’. He designed multiplayer maps like ‘Quarantine’, ‘Horizon’, ‘Slideshow’, etc. Designing some of the most admired maps of such a high-profile game was an incredible accomplishment. It turned Dr. DisRespect from a streamer to one of the most revered gaming figures in the industry.

In 2015, Beahm left the company to focus on a full-time career as a Twitch streamer. Needless to say, he has met with incredible success. He gained similar results with videos like, ‘DrDisRespect’s initial thoughts on TFUE SUING FAZE’, ‘Shroud being Cocky | Apex Squads with Shroud, Viss & DrDisRespect’, ‘Shroud takes on DrDisrespect during a High-End Tournament’, and ‘DrDisRespect Versus Ninja | $20k Code Red Tournament’, etc. His fortune continues to rise as ‘Creative Artists Agency’ signed him as a client on January 10, 2019.

In December 2017, it was revealed that Dr. DisRespect had been unfaithful to his wife multiple times. This, and his wife’s miscarriage, forced him to make a public apology and take a break to focus on his marriage. He was able to repair his marriage. On September 11, 2018, his house was shot at. No one was injured.

Dr. DisRespect was born as Herschel Guy Beahm IV on March 10, 1982, in Encinitas, California, USA. Beahm graduated from ‘California State Polytechnic University’, Pomona, in 2005.
