It was Don Panton's wife Malinda who had first introduced him to YouTube in early 2017 and convinced him to create a channel with her. After getting a camera as a gift, they jointly created the channel 'Pantons Squad' on January 5, 2017 to post vlogs, prank and challenge videos featuring the whole family including their two kids. Their first video, 'Season 1 Ep.1- Meet The Pantons Squad- family vlog', in which the couple introduced themselves, was posted two days later on January 7, 2017.

The video, 'Daughter Cuts Off Her Natural Hair Prank!', posted on June 29, 2017, became viral and earned over 1 million views within a couple weeks. It is still one of the most viewed videos on the channel with 3.2 million views so far. The channel reached 100k subscribers by August 2017. He uploaded a video on August 1st celebrating the feat, in which he asked his two kids questions about himself to see who knew him better. By this time, he had also created three more YouTube channels for their kids. 'Sister Brother Fun Toys' was created in February 2017, followed by 'Yaya Panton' in May and 'Yaya and Dj Fun Kids' in July 2017. His main channel took about a year to cross the one million subscribers mark, and currently boasts of 1.7 million subscribers.

Don Panton was born on December 13, 1984 in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, a coral-based archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean. He was only two years old when he moved into the United States with his family. He has relatives in Jamaica. He is a huge sports fan and watches ESPN most of the time. His favorite rapper is Lil Wayne. He is scared of heights and so has trouble traveling by planes.

Don Panton is married to Malinda, who was originally born in Haiti and came to the United States at the age of two just like him. They first met back in 2006 via MySpace after he sent her direct messages on the platform. They began talking online before finally meeting in person, and first went on a double date at the PGA Movie Theatre in Palm Beach, Florida. The two hit it off soon after, even though they don't seem to agree on who proposed first.. They welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Sariyah (better known as Yaya), on June 3, 2008. The couple was already together for five years before tying the knot in 2011. Their second child, son Dj, was born on February 23, 2012. Don often took his wife on trips to Disneyland, which she mentioned in a video stating that she loves it because she is a "big kid". She also told the viewers that he is a chill person, while he added that she does get mad at times. They have a puppy that he had once gifted to her, which she named Snowy because it is all white.
