Daniel Sunjata Condon is an American stage, film, and television actor. He is best recognized for playing the role of Franco Rivera on the FX series ‘Rescue Me’ and of Paul Briggs on the USA Network’s drama ‘Graceland’. The actor has also appeared on several other shows including 'D.C.', 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit', 'The Bronx is Burning', 'Grey's Anatomy', 'Smash' and 'Notorious', to name a few. On the big screen, he has contributed to the movies ‘Bad Company’, ‘Brother to Brother’, ‘One for the Money’, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, ‘Ghosts of Girlfriends Past’ and ‘Small Town Crime’. Sunjata, who is also a voice actor, is known for providing his voice to the character of Nick Landers/James Randall in the video game ‘TOCA Race Driver’. On stage, he has performed in numerous plays, the most popular one being ‘Take Me Out’. Talking about the actor’s awards and honors, he received a Tony Award nomination as well as a Drama Desk Award nomination for his work in ‘Take Me Out.’ Sunjata was once placed in People’s list of ‘50 Most Beautiful People’.

Sunjata first acted in the 1998 TV movie ‘Twelfth Night, or What You Will’. The same year he also did the play of the same name ‘Twelfth Night’. Two years later, he appeared on the drama ‘D.C.’. The actor then guest-starred on ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ in 2002. The same year, he voiced the character of Nick Landers/James Randall in the video game series ‘TOCA Race Driver’.
Soon after this, he was cast as Darren Lemming in the play ‘Take Me Out’. Sunjata then got featured in the movies ‘Melinda and Melinda’, ‘Noel’ and ‘Brother to Brother’ in 2004. The same year, he started playing the role of Franco Rivera in the comedy-drama series ‘Rescue Me’. The American artiste then did the flick ‘The Devil Wears Prada’. In 2007, he played Reggie Jackson on the series ‘The Bronx is Burning’. That year, he also performed in the play ‘Cyrano de Bergerac’. Two years later, Sunjata acted in the films ‘Ghosts of Girlfriends’ and ‘Loose Change 9/11: An American Coup’.
In 2010, he got featured in the TV movies ‘At Risk’ and ‘The Front’. He also began starring as Nurse Eli on the medical drama ‘Grey's Anatomy’. From 2012 to 2013, the actor played Peter Gillman in four episodes of ‘Smash’. During this time, he also appeared in the films ‘One for the Money’, ‘Gone’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. Soon after this, Sunjata joined the cast of the drama series ‘Graceland’. Then he played the role of Officer Ramirez in the flick ‘Lullaby’ and of Michael Astor in the play ‘The Country House’ in 2014. Two years later, he was cast as Jake Gregorian in the drama ‘Notorious’.

Daniel Sunjata was born as Daniel Sunjata Condon on December 30, 1971, in Evanston, Illinois, USA. He was raised as the adopted son of Catherine, a civil rights worker, and Bill, a police dispatcher.
He attended Mount Carmel High School and completed his undergraduate studies at University of Louisiana and Florida A&M University.
