Daniel M. Keem, also popular as DJ Keemstar or Killer Keemstar, is a video game streamer and creator of the YouTube channel ‘DramaAlert’ – a source for news on social interactions within YouTube. He is also the founder as well as the host of another channel named ‘BaitedPodcast’. The social media personality is notorious within the vlogging world as a highly divisive person due to his history of hostile exchanges and disputes with other YouTubers. Apart from his YouTube channels, Keemstar has also made his presence felt on the website ‘Soundcloud’ where he has uploaded a number of music videos he produced. He is also popular on the website ‘Stream.me’ with over 73K followers and 3 million total views. Because of his controversial image on online platforms, Keemstar has a huge fan base. He has 15.6K fans on Instagram and 1.42 million fans on Twitter respectively. And he has more than 1.8 million followers on his YouTube channel!
- Daniel Keem was first seen in a video recorded and uploaded by one of his friends on January 21, 2009. In this video, Keemstar was heard talking trash as well as trolling strangers while playing a Halo 3 multiplayer match. This video garnered more than 100K views, thus bringing him considerable name and fame. In 2009, he was featured on ‘Battlecam’ - a streaming service where people battle against each other and talk trash to gain the top spot. After gaining substantial popularity, Keemstar decided to create his own YouTube channel ‘DramaAlert’ in 2014. On this channel, he started uploading videos on a daily basis, covering drama and controversial topics surrounding online personalities, especially popular YouTubers. Soon after this, he started gaining criticism from the various online personalities he had targeted and people started making videos uncovering Keemstar’s scandalous actions. This mudslinging has been continuing since then, and today Keemstar is known to be one of the most divisive figures of YouTube. Although he has thousands of haters, he also has a strong fan base and millions of people follow his channels on various platforms. - Keemstar has been involved in a number of controversies. He has also received a substantial amount of criticism from people around him. It is known that Keemstar once made racial slurs by calling a person “a stupid nigger.” In October 2015, when fellow YouTuber TotalBiscuit announced that he had cancer, Keemstar took to Twitter and publically stated that he couldn’t wait to report on the former’s death. Not just this! Once he uploaded a video regarding the YouTuber Toby Turner in which he accused Turner of being a drug addict and rapist. Then in 2016, Keemstar made false accusations about a 62-year-old man stating the latter to be a pedophile. He posted on his Twitter handle that in 2010 he had several girls get naked. It doesn’t end here! Keemstar was once involved in an argument with Leafy. The argument happened when Keemstar stated that one should never leak private messages on the internet. This didn’t prevent him from leaking Leafy's private DMs when Leafy announced to the public that he might prove that Keem is the biggest hypocrite ever. Keemstar’s channel DramaAlert was banned in 2016 due to his controversial posts. However, once while Daniel Keem was live streaming, he accidentally went into the DramaAlert channel's settings. Later, it turned out that he had complete access to the channel 24/7, even though he had been banned on YouTube. In the light of this incident it was revealed that Keem’s DramaAlert channel hadn’t been taken down completely. In June 2016, Keem made a video titled ‘KEEMSTAR EXPOSED RESPONSE!’ in which he responded to multiple YouTubers who had made videos against him.
