  • Dakota Lotus was selected for the role of Cooper "Coop" Wrather in the series ‘Coop & Cami Ask the World.’ On May 4, 2018, the series got the green light. Three months later, in August 2018, Disney Channel revealed the show’s premiere date, which was October 12, 2018. Created by Boyce Bugliari and Jamie McLaughlin, the sitcom tells the story of Cooper "Coop" Wrather and Cameron "Cami" Wrather (Ruby Rose Turner), two middle school children who start crowdsourcing all of their decision-making online. They do whatever option receives the most votes. Besides Lotus and Turner, the series also stars Olivia Sanabia as Charlotte Wrather, Albert Tsai as Fred, Paxton Booth as Ollie Wrather, and Rebecca Metz as Jenna Wrather.
  • In the series premiere, the audience sees the Wrather siblings hosting their web show ‘Would You Wrather?’, which has garnered about 100,000 viewers. Their fans, known as the Wratherheads, vote to help the siblings solve their problems. The other members of the cast are gradually introduced. Olivia is the older sister of Cooper and Cami. Jenna is their widowed mother. Her husband, Cooper and his siblings’ father, had passed away two years earlier.
