Collette Briar Clifford was still in her mother Camryn’s womb when the latter began vlogging in an attempt to overcome the enormous emotional crisis she faced as a 16-year-old mother-to-be. She revealed expecting a girl child in the first video, Gender Reveal | Teen Mom Vlog, uploaded on her YouTube channel, Cam&Fam, on November 17, 2017. She discussed possible baby names in her second video before narrating her pregnancy story in the fourth video on the channel.

Camryn was still attending school and documented A Day in the Life of a Pregnant Teen in High School in her fifth video, which went viral on the platform. She announced the early arrival of Collette in a March 2018 video and has since then continued to chronicle every step in her daughter’s life through pictures and videos. Collette, who is now only four years old, not only appears regularly on her mother’s YouTube videos and Instagram posts, but also has her own Instagram profile, @collette_briar_clifford. Interestingly, even though managed by her mother, her Instagram posts are made from her perspective.

Collette Briar Clifford, also known as Coco, was born on February 12, 2018 in Florida, United States, to Camryn Turner and Landon Clifford. Her parents met in middle school and began dating at the age of 14 in the summer of 2015. Her mother became pregnant with her in July 2017 when both her parents were 16. Surprisingly, their parents were supportive of them and helped them cope with the situation. When Collette was born premature at 33 weeks via cesarean section, her parents were living in different states and Landon had to fly to see her the next day. Landon proposed to Camryn on June 28th that year and the 17-year-olds were engaged the next month. The young couple was married at the age of 18 on June 22, 2019, when little Collette was just over a year old. Her parents later welcomed another daughter, Delilah Clifford, on May 14, 2020.

Even before Collette Briar Clifford was born, her parents had finalized on the name “Collette Briar” and the surname “Clifford”. However, Camryn’s mother was against the idea as she was worried that Landon might leave Camryn later and in case of a breakup without marriage, Camryn would face legal issues if her daughter’s surname did not match with hers. While Camryn was confident that Landon would never abandon them, after she started vlogging and got in touch with other teen mothers, every one of them gave her the same advice as her mother. On August 22 2020, Collette Briar Clifford’s mother Camryn confirmed through an Instagram post that her 19-year-old husband, Landon, had died two days ago. At the time, she had mentioned that Landon was in coma for six days following a brain injury and donated several organs following his death. On August 27, she made a YouTube video titled My Husband Passed Away, in which she revealed that her husband, who suffered from ADHD since childhood, was privately struggling with anxiety and depression. While it was a mutual decision for the couple to try for another child, when Camryn was pregnant with Delilah, Landon fell into a deep depression. He sought help from a psychiatrist, but soon became addicted to his prescription drugs. Following Delilah’s birth, the couple separately moved in with their families to work on their mental health, only to reunite later. Finally, on August 13, at nighttime before bed, Landon repeatedly apologized to her for all the trouble he had caused and went to take his routine bath. However, Camryn later found him hanging in the garage and called 911. While an EMT was able to bring back his pulse, he was announced brain dead on August 18.
