Chuggaaconroy grew up with a passion for video games and commenced his career as a gamer on July 26, 2006. He began his career by creating a 'YouTube' channel named after his online pseudonym, "Chuggaaconroy.” Often shortened as "Chugga," the name is said to have originated from the chugging sound of a running train, or from a random name generator on a 'Cartoon Planet' website.

Chuggaaconroy posted his first video on the channel on March 16, 2008. The first upload was 'Super Smash Bros. Brawl Boss Very Hard Clear,' which was a replay of the game 'Super Smash Bros. Brawl.' He primarily posts 'Let's Play' videos for various video games. The series offers a combination of gameplays and live commentaries on popular video games. His content is popular for being family-friendly, and his videos are often regarded as alternatives to those of vulgar gamers such as PewDiePie.

A couple of weeks after his first upload, Chuggaaconroy released his first RPG ‘Let's Play' series, ‘EarthBound.' This series consisted of 36 solo gameplay videos. The series began with the 'Let's Play' video 'EarthBound - Part 1: Meteor' and ended with 'EarthBound - Ending [Part 3/3] - Final Part.'

His next series was 'Mother,' also known as the 'Earthbound Zero' series, which started with 'Mother - Part 1: When Lamps Attack.' The series lasted for about a month and a half and concluded with the video 'Mother - Final Boss: Giegue [Part 2/2] & Ending.' This series is Chuggaaconroy’s least favorite work.

Chuggaaconroy also created a parody series to prank his fans on April Fool’s Day. The series consisted of poor-quality 'Let’s Play' footages of the game 'Mega Man 2.' The series is Chuggaaconroy’s shortest series, with only three episodes.

After producing 'Let’s Play' content for RPGs such as 'EarthBound,' 'Mother,' 'Paper Mario,' and 'Pokémon Fire Red,' he released his first non-RPG 'Let's Play,’ ‘Super Mario Sunshine.' His impressive body of work from 2008 to 2010 helped him garner a lot of popularity as a "Let’s Player." His sudden prominence in live-streams, epic fails, and humorous content played a major role in his rising popularity. While playing live, Chuggaaconroy showed immense optimism, which made him a well-known completionist, a gamer who attempts to complete every challenge and earn every achievement or trophy in any game he plays.

On Dec 2, 2010, Chuggaaconroy created a collaborative channel, 'TheRunawayGuys,' along with gamers ProtonJon and NintendoCapriSun. He released a 'Let’s Play' series for 'Pikmin,' a puzzle strategy video game that became one of his most successful series, besides 'Pokémon' and 'Zelda.' Most of his 'Let’s Play' videos are for 'Nintendo' games.

Chuggaaconroy was born Emiliano Rodolfo Rosales-Birou, on born April 8, 1990, in Phoenix, Arizona, US. His nickname is Emile. His mother called him “Mimikins” when he was a child. In 2012, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia. He has a mix of French and Mexican origins. Chuggaaconroy has also lived in Florida for a short period of time.
