Christine Elizabeth Woods is an American actress known for her roles, such as Jessica Vanderhoff in the HBO series ‘Hello Ladies’, and FBI Special Agent Janis Hawk in the ABC series ‘FlashForward’. She was born in Lake Forest, California, and studied musical theater as a young woman. She began her career with the police drama series ‘CSI: Miami’, and then appeared in ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and ‘Welcome to the Captain’ in guest roles. She later started playing recurring roles in the series ‘FlashForward’ and ‘Perfect Couples’. She has also appeared in several movies, such as ‘Frankie and the Ant’, ‘Handsome: A Netflix Mystery Movie’, and more recently, ‘Paddleton’. In her career so far, she has been nominated for four awards, all for her work in the film ‘Frankie and the Ant’. Out of these, she won one, the ‘Zed Fest Film Festival’ Award for ‘Outstanding Acting Performance’.

Christine Elizabeth Woods began her TV career in 2005 with the popular police drama TV series ‘CSI: Miami’, playing a guest role. She went on to appear in guest roles in other TV shows as well, including ‘The Game’, ‘How I Met Your Mother’, ‘Cold Case’ and ‘In Plain Sight’. In 2007, she made her feature film debut in ‘The Haunting of Marsten Manor’, and the next year, she made her TV film debut in ‘The Mike Birbiglia’s Secret Public Journal’.
She started gaining some popularity in 2009, after her role in the TV series ‘FlashForward’. It was based on a 1999 novel of the same name. Between 2010 and 2011, she was seen in the American comedy TV series ‘Perfect Couples’. Though it gained mostly positive reviews, it ran for only one season. In 2009, she also appeared in the film ‘Sveener and the Shmiel’, and in 2012, she was seen in the film ‘Franky and the Ant’, for which she was nominated for four awards, out of which she won one.
Some other TV shows she appeared in are ‘Go On’ and ‘Hello Ladies’, in 2012 and 2013, respectively. In 2014, she appeared in a recurring role in ‘The Walking Dead,’ a popular horror TV series about the survivors of a zombie apocalypse who are trying to stay alive in a post-apocalyptic world.
In 2015, she was seen in the TV sitcom ‘Odd Couple’. It was based on a 1965 play written by Neil Simon. In 2016, she had a supporting role in the comedy drama film ‘Dean’, directed by Demetri Martin. The film was a commercial failure. Reviews were mixed. The next year, she was seen in ‘I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore’. The film, directed by Macon Blair, received mostly positive reviews, and also won two awards, out of four nominations.
In 2017, she was seen in a supporting role in ‘Handsome: A Netflix Mystery Movie’, which was met with mixed reviews. She also had a minor role in the film ‘Home Again’, which was a commercial success that received mixed reviews. Her most recent films are ‘Paddleton’ and ‘Imaginary Order’. Both the films have been released in 2019, and both have received mostly positive reviews. Her recent TV projects are ‘Man with a Plan’, ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’ and ‘Brockwire’.
