Christopher Charles Wood, professionally known as Chris Wood, is an American television actor famous for playing the character of ‘Kai Parker’ in the American supernatural drama television series ‘The Vampire Diaries’. He made his debut at the age of 22 in a television short film titled ‘The Magazine Girl’ after which he appeared in a number of television and film productions in minor and supporting roles. Before appearing in the ‘The Vampire Diaries’, Chris played the character of ‘Adam Weaver’ in the American teen comedy-drama television series ‘The Carrie Diaries’, in six episodes. After the success of ‘The Vampire Diaries’, Chris appeared in popular television shows like ‘Comedy Bang! Bang!’, ‘Containment’, and ‘Mercy Street’ before getting one of the lead roles in ‘Supergirl’, an American superhero action-adventure television series. The four-time Teen Choice Award nominee appeared in one episode of ‘The Flash’ in 2017.

Since the sad demise of his father from an untreated mental condition, Chris has been very outspoken on issues related to mental illnesses. He is an ambassador for Mental Health America and works selflessly to create awareness about mental health. He has also launched his own website called ‘I Don’t Mind’ which helps people struggling with mental illnesses.
