Her mother Mary Bridget was a school teacher and her father Edward Bradley Moynahan was a scientist and former administrator at the ‘University of Massachusetts Amherst.’ The actress has two brothers, Sean and Andy.
Moynahan spent her childhood in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. She completed her graduation in 1989 from ‘Longmeadow High School.’
After completing graduation, she started modeling and did several commercials. During that time, she attended the ‘University of Massachusetts Amherst.’

In 1999, she made her television debut as ‘Natasha Naginsky’ in HBO’s ‘Sex and the City.’ She portrayed the character of a woman who marries Carrie’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) boyfriend ‘Mr. Big.’ The following year, the actress did small roles in films like ‘Whipped’ and ‘In the Weeds.’
Bridget Moynahan got her big break in the 2000 drama film ‘Coyote Ugly.’ In this comedy film, she portrayed the character of ‘Rachel,’ a bartender/dancer. Although the film garnered negative critical reviews, it was a box-office success.
The actress next landed a supporting role as ‘Halley’ in the 2001 film ‘Serendipity.’
