Bree Turner Biography

Bree Turner started her career as a model and featured in commercials for top brands like ‘Gap’ and ‘Dr. Pepper’. She started her career in the film industry as a backup actress and a backup dancer. Turner appeared in films like ‘The Big Lebowski’ and ‘Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me’ as a backup dancer. In 1999, Turner appeared in the MTV anthology series ‘Undressed’ as ‘Tina’. She appeared in the first season as one of the main cast members in the show. A year later, Turner started playing the recurring role of ‘Brenda’ in the UPN sitcom ‘Moesha,’ a role she portrayed until 2001. In the following years, turner featured in a couple of sitcoms, ‘Spin City’ and ‘Andy Richter Controls the Universe’, before getting a different type of role in the sci-fi series ‘Century City’.

Turner appeared in the romantic comedy film ‘The Wedding Planner’ alongside Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey. Turner’s association with comic and funny roles continued as she appeared in shows like ‘Sex, Love & Secrets’ and ‘Love Monkey’. Almost one and a half decades after making her debut on television, Turner finally got her first regular role in 2012. She was offered the recurring role of ‘Rosalee Calvert’ in the police procedural series ‘Grimm’ for the first season. After impressing the audiences and critics with her role, Turner was given a regular slot in the next five seasons. She also appeared in two spin-off shorts, ‘Grimm: Bad Hair Day’ and ‘Grimm: Love is in the Air’.

Besides her TV roles, Turner has also appeared in films like ‘The Ugly Truth’ alongside Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl, ‘Dancing Ninja’, ‘Take Me Home’, ‘Smashed’, and ‘Jewtopia.’

Bree Nicole Turner was born on March 10, 1977, in Palo Alto, California, to former NFL player Kevin Turner. She attended Monte Vista High School in Danville, and later she went to the University of California, Los Angeles.

Turner married Justin Saliman, an orthopaedic surgeon, in 2008. Two years later, the couple had a daughter named Stella Jean, and in September 2012, they had their second child, a son, Dean. The marriage ran into trouble over the years and Turner filed for divorce from her husband in 2018.
