Beren Saat is a Turkish actress who garnered international attention for her role as the unfaithful wife Bihter Yöreoğlu Ziyagil in the romantic drama series ‘Aşk-ı Memnu’ for which she earned numerous awards and honours, including two Golden Butterfly Awards. Regarded as one of the highest-paid actresses in Turkey, she began her career through TV commercials. Saat was later discovered by Tomris Giritlioğlu and debuted in her first drama ‘Aşkımızda Ölüm Var’ in 2004. Her film career began in 2009 with ‘Güz Sancısı’ aka ‘Pains of Autumn’ and continued with other big-budgeted projects. She has also contributed to numerous movies as a voice actor. In addition to acting, the talented actress is also noted for her charitable efforts. In 2012, she designed some tees and the money accumulated from their sales was donated to Nar Taneleri Projesi, a charitable organization which educates orphan women aged between 18 and 24. Saat has been married to renowned pop music singer Kenan Doğulu since 2014.

Childhood & Early Life
Beren Saat was born on February 26, 1984, in Ankara, Turkey, to Hüseyin Avni Saat and Ayla Saat, both graduates of a sports academy. She has a brother named Cem.
She attended TED Ankara College Foundation Private High School and later studied at Başkent University. While studying there, she participated in an acting competition and emerged its first runner-up.

Career
Beren Saat made her television debut in 2004 with the series ‘Aşkımızda Ölüm Var’. A year later, she was cast as the lead in Cemal Şan’s ‘Aşka Sürgün’ alongside Mahsun Kırmızıgül.
She played a major role along with Okan Yalabık and Cansel Elçin in ‘Hatırla Sevgili’, a series that revolved around the political events that happened in Turkey during 1950–70.
In 2009, the actress made her feature film debut as the Greek prostitute Elena in ‘Güz Sancısı’ aka ‘Pains of Autumn.’ That year, she also had a role in the flick ‘Gecenin Kanatları’ (English title - Wings of the Night).
Saat lent her voice to the character of Barbie in the Turkish version of ‘Toy Story 3’. She also starred in the series ‘Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne?’ as a rape victim.
She had her next movie role in the Iranian director Bahman Ghobadi’s ‘Rhino Season’. Released in 2012, the film focussed on the life of Iranian-Kurdish author cum poet Sadegh Kamangar who spent over 25 years in the prisons of Iran while his relatives were told that he was dead.
In the summer of 2013, Saat starred in the flick ‘Benim Dünyam,’ an adaptation from the 2005 Bollywood film ‘Black.’ In the movie, she played a blind, deaf and dumb woman named Ela Bayındır.
She joined the cast of ‘Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem’ in the mid-2010s. During this time, she also lent her voice to the character of Scarlet Overkill in the popular animated film ‘Minions’ (Turkish version).

From 2008 to 2010, Beren Saat played the main role Bihter Yöreoğlu Ziyagil in ‘Aşk-ı Memnu’ aka ‘Forbidden Love,’ a romantic drama about a woman who falls in love with her husband’s nephew. The series garnered positive response and was the most viewed television drama in the history of Turkish small screen productions.
In 2013, the actress was cast in the role of an avenger in the drama series ‘İntikam,’ which was a remake of the American TV series ‘Revenge.’
Family & Personal Life
Beren Saat began dating Kenan Doğulu in 2012 and got married to him on 29 July 2014.
In October 2014, she performed a symbolic jump ball during EuroLeague basketball competition in order to spread awareness regarding breast cancer. In the same month, the actress participated in the "Gençliğe Hitabe" program and addressed people with hearing disabilities.
