Football Career
After graduating from high school, Pestock enrolled at Northwest Missouri State University and played for the Bearcats as an offensive guard in NCAA Division II. In 2007, when he was only in his junior year, he was made a member of the starting team.
He earned an honourable mention in all-MIAA in 2007 and was included in the first team all-MIAA in 2008.
Pestock ended the 2009 NFL Draft undrafted but was ultimately signed by the Indianapolis Colts in April 2009. However, they did not let him play even in one match and let him go in September.
In January 2010, Arizona Cardinals brought him into their roster on a futures contract. They too released him in September 2011 without having him play in a match for them.
Professional Wrestling Career
In August 2012, he started his tenure at WWE's developmental system NXT and took up the ring name Baron Corbin. He had his in-ring debut on October 18 at a house show, in a match against Dante Dash, which he lost.
In some of his initial matches, he played the role of an enhancement talent or jobber. On May 8, 2014, he performed in his last televised match, a battle royal to find out the number one contender to the NXT Championship, before his repackaging.
After his return at NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way in September 2014, Corbin started winning more matches. He broke Bull Dempsey’s undefeated streak in January 2015 at an NXT show, only to have his own undefeated streak broken by Adrian Neville at the semi-final of the NXT Championship.
In 2015, Corbin also had a memorable short-lived feud with Samoa Joe. In his final match with NXT, which took place on April 13, 2016, Corbin won against Tucker Knight.
Corbin was introduced to WWE’s main roster at WrestleMania 32 on 3 April 2016. He was the winner of the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He subsequently joined Raw and began feuding with Dolph Ziggler before being drafted to the SmackDown brand.
He continued his feud with Ziggler, who had been drafted to SmackDown as well. At the December 27, 2016 show, he competed for a WWE world title for the first time when he fought against Ziggler and WWE Champion AJ Styles in a triple-threat match. Styles ultimately won the match and retained his title.
At the 2017 Money in the Bank event, Corbin emerged the winner. This gave him the one-time opportunity to challenge any titleholder in WWE roster at any time. At the 15 August show, he decided to cash in his Money in the Bank contract during a title match between John Cena and WWE Champion Jinder Mahal. It was Mahal who ultimately pinned Corbin and retained the title.
Corbin won the United States Championship at the 2017 Hell in a Cell event against Styles and Tye Dillinger. He lost it 70 days later, to Ziggler at 2017 Clash of Champions. Corbin returned to Raw in April 2018 as part of the Superstar Shake-up. He was subsequently made the Constable of Raw by Stephanie McMahon.
By the end of 2018, he was calling himself General Manager-Elect and was widely hated by the roster. After the McMahon family took charge of both Raw and SmackDown, Corbin returned to wrestling.
Family & Personal Life
In the past, Baron Corbin was in a relationship with singer Maria Brink, who is the frontwoman of American metalcore band “In This Moment”.
After Corbin and Brink parted ways, he started dating Florida-native Rochelle Alexandra Roman. According to reports, she is a registered nurse in her state. On April 29, 2017, the couple exchanged wedding vows in Clearwater, Florida.
