Adrianne Lee Palicki is an American actor who is known for her effortless portrayals of characters that range from a cold, devious contract killer in ‘John Wick’ to a humorous porn star in ‘Women in Trouble.’ Born and raised in Ohio, US, she moved to Los Angeles after her graduation. Initially, she appeared in minor roles on TV shows and in short films. She soon earned the regular role of ‘Tyra Collette’ in ‘NBC’s successful series ‘Friday Night Lights.’ She then played other notable roles. She was seen as ‘Barbara Morse’ in ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ and as ‘Commander Kelly Grayson’ in ‘The Orville.’ Palicki was also featured in hit films such as ‘Legion,’ ‘Red Dawn,’ and ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation.’ In 2007, she was listed at number 79 on the ‘Maxim Hot 100’ list. She has also published a comic book named ‘No Angel,’ in collaboration with her brother, Eric Palicki. She was earlier engaged to Jackson Spidell. However, she called off the engagement later. She had been dating her ‘The Orville’ co-star Scott Grimes for a long timw. Childhood & Early Life
Palicki was born on May 6, 1983, in Toledo, Ohio, to Nancy (née French) and Jeffrey Palicki. She is of mixed descent and has Polish, Hungarian, English, and German roots. She is the younger of the two children of her parents. Her elder brother, Eric, is a comic-book writer.
She studied at the ‘Whitmer High School,’ where she participated in basketball and athletics. She appeared in school plays during her sophomore year. In 2001, she was voted a runner-up for “Homecoming Queen.” Palicki graduated in 2001.

Career
Following her graduation, she moved to Los Angeles, where she worked as a sandwich maker at ‘Togo’s.’ Palicki began her acting career in 2003, with a small role in the short film ‘Rewrite.’ The same year, she was part of the pilot for John Woo’s ‘The Robinsons: Lost in Space,’ but it did not materialize into a series. In 2004, she appeared in an episode of ‘Smallville.’ In 2006, she played the part of ‘Nadia’ in the pilot episode for ‘Aquaman.’ However, it was not turned into a series.
In 2006, Palicki was cast in the role of ‘Tyra Collette’ in the ‘NBC’ high-school football drama series ‘Friday Night Lights’ (2006–2009). She appeared as a regular in the first three seasons of this popular series. She played the role of ‘Jessica Moore’ in four episodes of ‘Supernatural’ (2005–2009). Palicki essayed the part of ‘Brianna’ in the 2006 TV drama ‘South Beach.’
In 2010, she portrayed ‘Cat Thatcher’ in ‘Fox’s ‘Lone Star.’ The pilot episode of 2011’s ‘Wonder Woman,’ in which she played the titular role, was not picked up to be made into a series. In the 2014 sitcom ‘About a Boy,’ Palicki had the recurring role of ‘Dr. Samantha Lake.’ Another recurring role during the same year was that of ‘Barbara “Bobbi” Morse’ in ‘Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Her role got more eminence after the latter half of the second season, and she was with the series till the end of the third season.
Currently, Palicki is seen as ‘Commander Kelly Grayson’ in the science-fiction comedy–drama series ‘The Orville’ (2017–present). She has been nominated for a ‘Saturn Award’ for her role in the series.
Palicki made her film debut in 2005, with the role of ‘Whitney Addison’ in the comedy film ‘Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.’ She has been part of several successful movies. In the Scott Stewart-directed fantasy–action–horror film ‘Legion’ (2010), she appeared as ‘Charlie.’ She essayed the role of ‘Toni Walsh’ in the Dan Bradley-directed war film ‘Red Dawn’ (2012).
Palicki played the lead role of ‘Lady Jaye’ in the 2013 military science-fiction/action film ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation,’ which featured her alongside Bruce Willis, DJ Cotrona, Dwayne Johnson, and Channing Tatum. In 2014, she appeared as ‘Ms. Perkins’ in the action thriller ‘John Wick.’ The same year, she played the role of ‘Natalie Wilman’ in the Canadian romantic comedy ‘Dr. Cabbie.’
Palicki was part of the music video of the song ‘We Are the Ones’ (2008) by ‘will.i.am,’ which was made for the presidential campaign of Barack Obama. She was also featured in the music video of ‘Where’s the Love’ (2016) by ‘The Black Eyed Peas.’ She has worked as a voice actor for some episodes and TV shorts of ‘Robot Chicken’ and ‘Robot Chicken: Star Wars.’
She wrote her first comic book, ‘No Angel,’ along with her brother, Eric, in 2016, through ‘Black Mask Studios.’

Palicki was in a relationship with DJ Cotrona from 2011 to 2013. She met Jackson Spidell, a stuntman, during the filming of ‘John Wick’ in 2014. The two got engaged on September 10, 2014. However, later, in 2017, she revealed that she had called off the engagement in 2015.
In July 2018, she was seen with her ‘The Orville’ co-star Scott Grimes at ‘Entertainment Weekly’s San Diego ‘Comic-Con’ party. They announced their engagement in January 2019. They got married on May 19, 2019, in Austin, Texas. Grimes has two children from his first marriage. His marriage to Palicki is his third.
She suffers from an autoimmune disorder called celiac disease.
