


Clara Rockmore was a Lithuanian violin prodigy. She later became a virtuoso performer of an electronic musical instrument called the theremin. Rockmore is credited with improving and popularizing the instrument by working closely with its inventor, Leon Theremin. Clara Rockmore is also known as the sister of famous American pianist Nadia Reisenberg.


Dalia Grybauskaitė became the first female president of Lithuania and the first to be re-elected. Popularly known as Lithuania’s Iron Lady and often compared to Margaret Thatcher, she has also been the UN Commissioner of the Year. A black belt in karate, she has mastery over four languages.

Severija Janušauskaitė is a Lithuanian actress and occasional singer, composer, fashion model, and costume designer. She is best known for her portrayal of Rita in the 2014 Russian drama film Star, which earned her a Best Actress Award at the Kinotavr Film Festival. Her performance in the film was also honored with the prestigious Golden Eagle Award.




Emilia Plater was a Polish-Lithuanian revolutionary and noblewoman. Often compared with France's Joan of Arc, Plater is seen as a national heroine in Belarus, Lithuania, and Poland. Emilia Plater's story has inspired numerous works of art and literature and she is often seen as a symbol of women empowerment in Lithuania.


Born to a Jewish family in southern Lithuania that was well-respected among the community, Bluma Zeigarnik grew up to be a renowned psychologist. She is best remembered for discovering what is known as the Zeigarnik effect, or the phenomenon of remembering incomplete tasks better than complete ones.

Ingrida Šimonytė is a Lithuanian economist and politician. She is the current Prime Minister of Lithuania. An influential politician, Šimonytė also served as the Minister of Finance from 7 July 2009 to 13 December 2012. In 2019 and 2020, Ingrida Šimonytė was named Delfi Women of the Year.





Aušrinė Armonaitė is a Lithuanian politician and the current Minister for Economy and Innovation. Since 2019, she has been serving as the chairperson of the popular Freedom Party. Aušrinė Armonaitė previously served as a member of the conservative-liberal political party, Liberal Movement.











Alina Orlova is a Lithuanian-Russian musician and 'sung' poetry singer. Renowned for her soothing and powerful voice, Orlova has become a popular figure in Lithuania over the last few years. She has also earned the admiration of fellow stars and musicians like Fran Healy.



Mia is a Lithuanian singer, television host, and songwriter. She achieved popularity in 2004 when her debut single Kiekvienam became famous in Lithuania. Since 2009, Mia has also been hosting TV shows like Muzikinė karuselė, which has made her a household name in Lithuania.



Evelina Dobrovolska is a Polish-Lithuanian activist and politician. She is currently serving as the Minister for Justice of Lithuania in the Šimonytė Cabinet. Prior to her political career, Ewelina Dobrowolska achieved popularity after becoming one of the most important members of the European Foundation of Human Rights.



Margarita Drobiazko is a Lithuanian former ice dancer who won bronze medals at the World Figure Skating Championships, European Championships, and Grand Prix Final with her skating partner Povilas Vanagas. She also won the 1999 Skate Canada International event and competed in five Olympic Games, becoming one of the first figure skaters along with Vanagas to participate in five Olympics.




Monika Linkytė is a Lithuanian singer-songwriter best known for representing her country at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest with the song This Time. She represented Lithuania alongside Vaidas Baumila in the competition where they finished 18th. Over the course of her musical career, Monika Linkytė has won a couple of M.A.M.A Awards.



Gintarė Skaistė is a Lithuanian politician who is currently serving as the Minister for Finance of Lithuania in the Šimonytė Cabinet. She earned recognition as a politician between 2007 and 2016, during which she served as the Kaunas City Councillor.


Aušra Maldeikienė is a Lithuanian politician, political economist, teacher, lecturer, publicist, and author. Having served as the Vilnius City Councilor and Member of the Seimas between 2015 and 2019, Maldeikienė was elected as a Member of the European Parliament in 2019.


Agnė Bilotaitė is a Lithuanian politician and the current Minister for the Interior of Lithuania in the Šimonytė Cabinet. Since 2008, Agnė Bilotaitė has been an important member of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, the unicameral parliament of the country.
