He is best remembered for making important contributions to world cinema with films like The Color of Pomegranates and Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors. Sergei Parajanov is widely regarded as one of the most influential and greatest filmmakers in cinema history.





Tamara Toumanova was a Georgian-American ballet dancer and actress. She achieved international recognition at a young age when she came to be known as one of the Original Ballet Russe's Baby Ballerinas along with Irina Baronova and Tatiana Riabouchinska. She then performed across Europe and went on to establish herself as an actress, appearing as a dancer in several films.





The son of actor-director Revaz Gabriadze, Georgian-Russian actor and filmmaker Levan Gabriadze is best known to audiences for directing the supernatural horror film Unfriended. He has also acted in films such as Kin-dza-dza! and directed the animated film Rezo, which was based on his father’s memories.







Dodo Abashidze was a Soviet Georgian actor and director. He is best remembered for co-directing The Legend of Suram Fortress and Ashik Kerib along with Sergei Paradjanov. As an actor, Dodo Abashidze played important roles in films like Magdana’s Donkey, Falling Leaves, and Don't Grieve.
