Tara Strong started her career at 13 with a guest-appearance in the TV-series ‘T. & T.’, a role in the stage-production 'The Music Man,' and the main voice-role in ‘Hello Kitty’s Furry Tale Theater’ (1987). She also featured in the Canadian-sitcom ‘Mosquito Lake’ (1989-1990).
Strong played voice-roles in several animation-series, including the superhero-series ‘X-Men’ (1993-1997) as ‘Illyana,’ ‘Gadget Boy & Heather’ (1995-1998), the educational-series ‘Little Bear’ (1995-2003), ‘Extreme Ghostbusters’ (1997), ‘Rugrats’ (1997-2004) and ‘All Grown Up’ (2003-2008), ‘The New Batman Adventures’ (1997-1999), and ‘Gotham Girls’ (2000-2002) and various roles in the animated-sitcom ‘King of the Hill’ (1998-2004).
Strong received ‘Annie Award’ nominations for voicing ‘Bubbles’ in the superhero-series ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ (1998-2005), various roles in ‘The Fairly OddParents’ (2001-2017), and ‘Annie and Emmy’ nominations for ‘Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks’ (2003-2007).
Strong also voiced ‘Ingrid’ in the animated-series ‘Fillmore!’ (2002-2004), then various roles in ‘Justice League’ (2003-2006), and ‘Teen Titans’ (2003-2006). After providing voice as ‘Terrence’ in ‘Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends’ (2004-2009), and as ‘Ben’ in ‘Ben 10’ (2005-2008) amongst numerous more, she earned nominations for ‘Ultimate Spider-Man’ (2012-2016), and ‘Teen Titans Go!’ (2013-present).
Strong provided voice in several animated feature-films, including various ‘Rugrats’ movies (1998, 2000, 2003), ‘The Powerpuff Girls Movie’ (2002), and earned accolades as ‘Twilight Sparkle’ in ‘My Little Pony: Equestria Girls’ (2013). She did English dubbing for the Japanese animated-films ‘Princess Mononoke’ (1999) and ‘Spirited Away’ (2002), and provided various voices in ‘Minions’ (2015), ‘The Secret Lives of Pets’ (2016), ‘The Boss Baby’ (2017), ‘Teen Titans Go! To the Movies’ (2018).
Strong received ‘Annie Award’ nominations for voicing ‘Melody’ in ‘The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea’ (2000). Her other animated films include ‘Tom & Jerry: The Magic Ring’ (2002), ‘Tarzan & Jane’ (2002), ‘Batman: My Story of Batwoman’ (2003), ‘The Proud Family Movie’ (2005), ‘Wonder Woman’ (2009), ‘Twinkle Toes’ (2011), and others.
Strong also voiced a number of video games and won ‘Interactive Achievement Award’ for her role as ‘Rikku’ in the role-playing video game ‘Final Fantasy X-2’ (2003). She portrayed live-roles in ‘Family Pictures,’ ‘Forever Knight,’ ‘3rd Rock From Sun,’ ‘Sabrina Goes to Rome,’ ‘Sabrina Down Under,’ and more.
