MØ has won several prestigious awards such as the Billboard Music Award and Danish Music Awards.

She later gained international recognition while representing Iceland in Eurovision Song Contest  2009 with the song Is It True?, and attainted second place, marking, for the second time, Iceland's best showing in the contest till-present.
