Famous Spanish Pop Singers

One of the most popular Spanish singer-songwriters of all time, Enrique Iglesias is widely known as the King of Latin Pop. Having sold more than 180 million records worldwide, Enrique Iglesias is among the best-selling Latin music artists list. He often uses his popularity to help raise funds to benefit humanitarian organizations like the American Red Cross.

Grammy-winning Spanish flamenco singer Rosalia is quite a sensation in Latin music and has often experimented with R&B, hip-hop, and electronic music, too. She gained global fame with the single Malamente and also scripted history as the first-ever Spanish-language artist to gain a Best New Artist nomination at the Grammys.

Spanish singer Aitana first gained attention with her YouTube covers and then with the reality show Operación Triunfo. She then released her gold-certified debut single, No Puedo Vivir sin Ti, and later continued to release hits such as Lo Malo and Telephono. She is also known as the Spanish Princess of Pop.

Mexican singer-songwriter and actress Belinda Peregrín, tagged as "Princess of Latin Pop" by international press is best known for her commercially hit studio albums like Belinda and Utopía and singles like Vivir, which made her the third best-selling female Mexican act. She also had screen success with films like The Cheetah Girls 2 and Mexican telenovelas like Amigos x siempre.   

Julio Iglesias, Jr. is a Spanish singer. He is the son of singer Julio Iglesias and journalist Isabel Preysler.  Enrique Iglesias is his brother. Julio Jr. began his career as a model and was offered acting gigs. However, he declined the acting offers to focus on music. He has participated in several reality TV shows.  

Alejandro Sanz is a Spanish singer, musician, and composer, who has won 22 Latin Grammy Awards and four Grammy Awards. He is best known for his flamenco-influenced ballads. A versatile singer, he often experiments with different genres, such as pop, funk, rock, jazz, and R&B. He has collaborated with artists like Shakira, Alicia Keys, and Juanes. 

Spanish singer-actor Edurne started her career as a child actor and later soared to fame with the show Operación Triunfo. She then released hit singles such as Amores Dormidos and Despierta, and was part of the Spanish version of Britain’s Got Talent. She is also the wife of Spanish footballer David De Gea.

Spanish singer, actor and baritone, Carlos Marín is a member of the popular multi-national classical crossover vocal group Il Divo. Marin has also spawned solo studio albums Little Caruso and Mijn Lieve Mama, performed in musicals like Les Misérables and Grease, earned acclaim as primo baritono in operas like The Barber of Seville and Madame Butterfly, and participated in zarzuela.

Pablo Alborán is a Spanish singer-songwriter and musician. He developed a love for music at a young age and learned to play several instruments. He began his career playing with a Flamenco band and has since pursued a successful solo career. He has been nominated for several Latin Grammy Awards. He openly came out as homosexual in 2020. 

David Bisbal is a Spanish singer, songwriter, and actor who rose to fame following his appearance in the reality TV show Operación Triunfo. He has since built a successful entertainment career with several live and studio albums to his name. A crossover international artist, he is popular throughout Europe and Latin America and has sold more than six million records. 

English-born Spanish singer Jeanette, considered a cult-artist, caught attention as lead-singer of teenage folk-pop band Pic-Nic that topped the charts in 1968 with their lead single Cállate, niña penned by Jeanette. She redefined her career as a romantic balladist with the hit single Soy rebelde and furthered it with albums like Corazón de poeta and singles like Porque te vas.

Spanish singer-songwriter Natalia Jiménez began her career at the age of fifteen singing on streets and subways. At twenty, she signed agreement with Sony Music and became the lead singer of La Quinta Estación, releasing her debut album at the age of thirty. Recipient of several awards, including Latin Grammy and Grammy, she has so far sold more than 3 million albums worldwide.

Spanish singer Leroy Sanchez is a self-taught musician who made a name for himself through YouTube covers such as Adele’s Hello on his channel superleroyvv. He had also been a background vocalist on American Idol. Discovered by producer Jim Jonsin, he was later  nominated for a Teen Choice Award, too.

Rosario Flores is a Spanish singer and actress. She is the daughter of musician Antonio González and singer Lola Flores. A successful performer in her own right, she is a two-time Latin Grammy Award winner. As an actress, she has appeared in films and TV shows, such as  Talk to Her, Against the Wind, and Brigada Central. 

José María Cano first came into prominence as part of the popular Spanish pop band Mecano. He later went back to his earlier passion of painting, which he had started to learn as an architecture student. As a contemporary artist, he has held exhibitions such as Apostolate and Game Changers.

Roi Méndez is a Spanish guitarist and singer who achieved national recognition when he appeared in the ninth season of the popular reality television series Operación Triunfo. His popularity increased when he released his single Por una vez más in 2018. The following year, he came up with his album Mi Lógico Desorden which became popular in Spain.
