Serbian Female Singers

Ceca is a Serbian pop-folk singer and TV personality. Having sold over seven million records, Ceca is often counted among the best-selling Serbian artists in history. Nicknamed the Serbian mother, Ceca has also appeared as a judge on popular TV singing competitions, such as Zvezde Granda and Pinkove Zvezde.

Serbian pop artist and activist Jelena Karleuša, or JK, had started her music career as a turbo-folk singer, before switching to pop. She is also known for her constant support for various campaigns such as LGBT rights, veganism, and animal rights. A youth icon, she is also the most-followed Serbian female Instagram star.

Marija Šerifović is a Serbian singer, YouTuber, and TV personality. She achieved international fame in 2007 when she won the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Molitva. Regarded as one of Serbia's most powerful vocalists, Marija Šerifović was named Female Artist of the Year at the 2019 Music Awards Ceremony. She has also appeared as a judge on Zvezde Granda.       

Sanja Vučić is a Serbian singer-songwriter best known for her participation at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, where she represented Serbia with the song Goodbye. She also competed at the Eurovision Song Contests in 2020 and 2021 as part of a pop folk girl group named Hurricane.

Dragana Mirkovic is a Serbian entrepreneur and pop-folk singer. She is best known for her association with the popular Bosnian-Serbian music band, Južni Vetar. Dragana Mirković is also credited with co-founding a satellite music channel named DM SAT alongside her husband Toni Bijelić.

Ana Popovic is a Serbian singer and guitarist best known for co-founding a band named Hush in 1995. She is also credited with forming an eponymous band in 1999. Over the course of her career, Ana Popovic has received nominations at popular award ceremonies, such as the Blues Music Awards, French Blues Awards, British Blues Awards, and Blues Matters Awards.

Seka Aleksic is a Bosnian-born Serbian singer whose debut album Idealno tvoja earned her the first prize at Moravski biseri in Ćuprija, a folk music festival. In 2007, her album Kraljica sold 300,000 copies, which caught the attention of many. Seka Aleksic is also known for making appearances in films and TV shows. She also has her own clothing lines.

Milica Pavlović is a Swiss-born Serbian actress, model, and singer. Best known for her skills as a singer, Pavlović achieved fame in 2011 when she participated in the popular singing competition TV series Zvezde Granda. In 2016, Milica Pavlović was named Best Female Singer at the Serbian Popularity Oscar.

Ksenija Pajcin was a Serbian singer, model, and dancer. After starting her career as a dancer, Pajcin went on to establish herself as a successful and popular singer in Serbia. Although she was not critically acclaimed as a singer, Ksenija Pajcin caught the attention of many with her bold on-stage antics and controversial statements.

Nataša Bekvalac is a Serbian singer, actress, and model. She achieved popularity in 2011 when she was named Female Pop Singer of the Year at Oskar Popularnosti. In 2020, she won the Music Video of the Year award at the Music Awards Ceremony. Bekvalac is also renowned for her support for the LGBT community and is considered a gay icon.             

Edita Aradinovic is a Serbian singer who came into prominence as the lead singer of the famous pop-folk girl band, Ministarke. She joined the band in 2013 and was an integral part of the band until 2018, when she decided to pursue a solo career. Edita Aradinovic has also appeared on popular TV shows like Tvoje Lice Zvuči Poznato. 

Ana Bekuta is a Serbian singer and TV personality. Over the course of her career, Bekuta has released many popular albums like Ti si mene varao, Uvek postoji nada, and Opet imam razloga da živim. Ana Bekuta became a household name in 2014, when she appeared as a mentor and judge on the popular reality TV music competition, Zvezde Granda. 

Serbian-Turkish pop singer Emina Jahović, one of the highest-paid artists in the Balkans, began her career with music festivals and later appeared as a judge on X Factor Adria. Emina has also appeared in the soap Lale Devri and now owns brands such as Yaemina Beauty and Loud body care.

Zorica Brunclik is a Serbian folk singer best known for her fashion style, singing voice, and bright pink hair. One of the most popular ex-Yugoslavian artists of all time, Zorica Brunclik has won several music festivals such as Ilidža, Moravski Biseri, and Šumadijski Sabor.

Lepa Lukic is a Serbian folk singer best known for her hit song, My Heart is a Violin. Over the course of her illustrious career, Lukić has also performed many other popular songs such as From the Spring of Two Roads and Old Times Have Passed.

Nevena Božović is a Serbian singer and songwriter. She achieved popularity in 2007 when she competed at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, representing Serbia with the song Piši mi. Nevena Božović's popularity increased in 2012 when she took part in a televised singing competition named Prvi glas Srbije, where she finished second.

Indira Radić is a Bosnian Serb singer who is known for incorporating various genres into her music. An exponent of pop-folk and turbo-folk music, Radić also incorporates Indian elements into her songs and albums. Over the course of her career, Indira Radić has released several successful albums like Do You Love Me, Millennium, and Wedding Ring Turned Black.

Ksenija Knežević is a Serbian-Montenegrin singer best known for her association with the popular Serbian girl group, Hurricane. Knežević and other members of Hurricane represented Serbia with the song Loco Loco at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. Ksenija Knežević is currently focusing on her solo career.

Milica Todorovic is a Serbian actress and singer. She achieved popularity in 2005, when she won the popular singing competition, Zvezde Granda. Todorovic showcased her acting skills when she played Azra in Emir Kusturica's opera Time of the Gypsies. In 2019, Milica Todorovic won Music Video of the Year award at the Music Awards Ceremony.

Sandra Afrika is a Serbian singer who started her career as a backup dancer. She was part of Mile Kitić's backup dancing group before releasing her debut song Afrika in 2007. In 2011, she released an album titled Afrika, which earned her popularity. Since then, Sandra Afrika has released several successful songs.

Tijana Dapcevic is a Macedonian-Serbian singer who represented Macedonia at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark. Tijana Dapčević has achieved immense popularity in Serbia and her songs have been covered by popular singers from countries like Poland and Croatia.

Rada Manojlovic is a Serbian pop-folk singer who achieved popularity in 2007, when she finished second in the popular televised competition, Zvezde Granda. Her popularity increased in 2016, when she appeared as a judge on Neki novi klinci, the children's version of Zvezde Granda.

Zana Nimani is a Serbian retired singer best known for her association with the popular band Zana, where she performed as the frontress. She was active from 1976 to 1987, during which she also performed in music festivals across Serbia.

Tanja Savić is a Serbian pop-folk singer who achieved popularity in 2004, when she finished third in the first season of the popular reality television music competition, Zvezde Granda. Tanja Savić's popularity increased in 2019, when she released her fourth album, Stranci.

Dara Bubamara is a Serbian singer and TV personality. She first achieved popularity in the early 1990s and then went on to establish herself as a famous pop-folk singer. Today, Dara Bubamara is counted among the most successful and famous Serbian pop-folk singers of her generation.

Dragana Todorović, better known by her pseudonym, Bebi Dol, is a Serbian new wave/pop singer began her career with the band Trakus and then soared to fame with the track Mustafa. She represented Yugoslavia at the 1991 Eurovision. She has also appeared on reality TV shows such as Farma.

Elena Kitic is a Serbian singer and songwriter. The daughter of famous singers, Marta Savić and Mile Kitić, Elena Kitić is known for her collaborations with artists like Jala Brat and Rasta. In 2020, she was honored with the Best Music Video Styling award at the Sneakerville Festival in Belgrade.

Sara Jovanović, better known as Sara Jo, is a popular Serbian singer, dancer, and actor, who rose to fame with the singing talent show Prvi glas Srbije. She later performed at the 2013 Eurovision, representing Serbia, as a member of the girl band Moje 3. She supports LGBT rights and various charitable initiatives.

Anabela is a Bosnian-Serbian singer best known for her association with the popular dance duo Funky G along with Gagi Đogani. After breaking up with Đogani, Anabela commenced her solo career and released her first solo album titled Igra sudbine in 2010. Since then, she has established herself as a prominent singer.

Olivera Katarina is a Serbian singer, actress, and writer. Best known for playing Lenče in the 1967 Yugoslav film I Even Met Happy Gypsies, Katarina was counted among the most popular stars of Yugoslav cinema during the 1960s and the 1970s. As a singer, Olivera Katarina is renowned for performing music of various genres.

Usnija Redzepova was a Macedonian singer of Turkish and Romani origin. An exponent of folk and Romani music, Redžepova released a number of albums during her career. Usnija Redzepova is also remembered for her rendition of the main role in a Serbian play called Koštana.

Serbian singer-songwriter and composer Slađana Milošević was once a leading figure of the new wave movement in Yugoslavia. Initially a bass guitarist, she also played the violin and piano and performed as a theater artist. She later succeeded as a solo artist and also performed for several movies.

Tanja Ribič is a Slovenian singer and actress. She first achieved popularity in 1997 when she competed at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Zbudi se. Tanja Ribič has also played important roles in popular films and TV series.

Maja Odzaklievska is a Serbian and Macedonian singer and songwriter. She currently lives and works in Serbia and is popular across Europe. She is best known for competing at the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2006, Maja Odzaklievska chose to represent Macedonia in the contest with a song titled Koj pat da izberam.

At 16, Kathe von Nagy wanted to get married and thus her reluctant parents tucked her away to a convent to make her change her mind. She then wished to be an author but later became famous for her performances in French, German, and Hungarian films, and for her photo postcards.

Anja Rupel is a Slovene singer, songwriter, journalist, and radio announcer. A trained flautist, Rupel started performing as a singer when she joined the popular synthpop group Videosex. After the disbandment of Videosex, Anja Rupel started pursuing a solo career.
