Steven R. McQueen is an American actor and model best known for his portrayal of ‘Jeremy Gilbert’ in the American supernatural drama television series ‘The Vampire Diaries’. With his charming looks and attractive personality, McQueen attracted international attention during his time in the show. The young actor is also recognized for being a grandson of the legendary actor Terence Steven McQueen. During his early career, he appeared in Greg Berlanti’s American drama series ‘Everwood’. He later on portrayed the character of ‘Jimmy Borrelli’ in the American action-drama television series ‘Chicago Fire’ for two years and appeared in a recurring role in ‘Chicago P.D.’. McQueen was featured in the 2010 American 3D horror-comedy film ‘Piranha 3D’ as ‘Jake Forester’. He also appeared in a critically acclaimed role in the short film ‘Club Soda’ for which he received the Best Male Performance Award at the Beverly Hills Film Festival.

Steven R. McQueen started his career in 2005 with the role of ‘Jordan Peters’ in the CBS science fiction drama ‘Threshold’ (episode Blood of the Children’). In the same year, he was signed to play the role of ‘Kyle Hunter’ in the American drama television series ‘Everwood’, created by Greg Berlanti. He was part of the show in the 2005-06 season, appearing in seven episodes in an recurring role. In 2006, McQueen appeared as “The Kid” in the short drama film ‘Club Soda’, written and directed by Paul Carafotes. McQueen was highly praised for his role in the short film and was honored with the Beverly Hills Film Festival Award for the Best Male Performance.
In 2008, he appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie ‘Minutemen’, as ‘Derek Beaugard’, an opportunistic young male who manipulates his best friend to gain personal advantages. McQueen appeared in the science-fiction film alongside Jason Scott Dolley, Nicholas Braun, and Chelsea Kane Staub. The film was made on a base budget of $5 million and it premiered on the Disney Channel with 6.48 million views. He also appeared in another short film titled ‘American Breakdown’ in the same year.
McQueen appeared in a series of television shows in 2008, all in guest roles. These include ‘Numb3rs’ as ‘Craig Ezra’ (episode ‘Atomic No. 33’), ‘Without a Trace’ as ‘Will Duncan’ (episode ‘True/False’), and ‘CSI: Miami’ as ‘Keith Walsh’ (episode ‘Gone Baby Gone’). The following year, McQueen signed a long-term contract for the role of ‘Jeremy Gilbert’ in the American supernatural drama television series ‘The Vampire Diaries’, created by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec. The series was based on the popular novel ‘The Vampire Diaries’ by L. J. Smith and it premiered on The CW network in 2009. McQueen was a series regular between 2009 and 2015 and later came back for a guest appearance in 2017. He was nominated at the Youth Rock Awards for Rockin TV Actor in 2011 and at the Teen Choice Awards for Scene Stealer Male in 2013. He appeared in the 2010 American 3D horror-comedy film ‘Piranha 3D’, as ‘Jake Forester.’ The film was a remake of the 1978 horror film ‘Piranha’.
McQueen was a series regular in the American action drama television series ‘Chicago Fire.’ He played ‘Jimmy Borrelli’ between 2015 and 2016, appearing in 25 episodes.
