Who is Sandra Lee?
Sandra Lee is a board-certified dermatologist, skin cancer surgeon and cosmetic surgeon who has gained tremendous fame on social media with her cyst removals, pimple poppings and blackhead exposures videos. Also known as Dr. Pimple Popper, she has more than 13 million fans on her You Tube, Instagram and Facebook accounts together. She has also starred in six seasons of the television series Dr. Pimple Popper which aired on TLC. Additionally, she has launched her own line of skincare products and has authored an entertaining, comprehensive, illustrated skin care guide book too.
Sandra Lee is a board-certified dermatologist, skin cancer surgeon and cosmetic surgeon who, together with her husband Dr. Jeff Rebish, runs her own practice at Skin Physicians and Surgeons in Upland, California. She has years of experience in the field and is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for MOHS Surgery.
She launched her You Tube channel – Dr. Sandra Lee - (aka Dr. Pimple Popper) – in October 2010 with a video Dr. Sandra Lee discusses Tickle Lipo. In the coming years, she continued to upload a few videos; however, she really became serious about uploading in 2015 after she saw a rise in popularity of her Instagram videos of skin extractions. Initially, the You Tube channel was meant to be a place where she shared her television segments discussions about skin issues and significant cosmetic surgery techniques. Later, she began uploading videos giving viewers a peek into her world as a dermatologist together with her videos depicting cyst removals, pimple poppings and blackhead exposures. Additionally, she discusses different skin, hair and nails diseases too. Her channel, currently, has over 7.3 million subscribers.
Apart from the main channel, she also has other channels including Dr. Pimple Popper University and Dr. Sandra Lee (aka Dr. Pimple Popper) - TV Appearances. The former, meant for educational and informative videos of dermatological procedures and skin care treatments, has over 182K subscribers whereas the latter, which is the official resource for her television appearances, has over 46.6K (46.8k)4 subscribers.
Her Instagram account, @drpimplepopper, which she launched in 2015, is followed by over 4.4 million people, while her Facebook page, created in 2012, with the same name has over 2.8 million followers.
In 2017, she launched her own line of skin care products known as the SLMD Skincare Products. The range of products on offer include acne cleanser and lotion, clarifying treatment with retinol and daily moisturizer.
The following year, she was signed by Discovery, Inc’s owned TLC channel for her own television series Dr. Pimple Popper. The series premiered in 2018 and followed her as she went about treating patients with unusual skin disorders at her clinic Skin Physicians & Surgeons in California. The series has aired six seasons till 2021. In 2018, she worked in a television special Dr. Pimple Popper: The 12 Pops of Christmas and in 2020 was seen in the spinoff series of Dr. Pimple Popper called Dr. Pimple Popper: Before the Pop. In 2021, she became a part of the television special documentary Dr. Pimple Popper Pops Shark Week.
Apart from this, she has appeared as a self/guest/co-host/dermatologist on the nationally syndicated television show The Doctors and was a regular contributor on Studio11LA, a daily TV newscast on FOX 11. Moreover, she has appeared in numerous chat shows, variety shows and news shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live!, WGN Morning News, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Today, The Dr. Oz Show, The Wendy Williams Show and Live with Kelly and Ryan.
She is also the author of a book titled Put Your Best Face Forward: The Ultimate Guide to Skincare from Acne to Anti-Aging.

Family & Personal Life
Sandra Siew Pin Lee was born on 20th December 1970, in the Flushing, Queens, New York City, to a Chinese Singaporean father and a Malaysian Chinese mother. Her father is a retired dermatologist. A year before she was born, her parents moved to New York. Later, they again moved to Southern California when she was five years old.
For her education, Sandra Lee attended The Webbs Schools in Claremont, California. She obtained her Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and thereafter attended Drexel University College of Medicine from where she completed her MD in 1998. After this, she worked as an intern at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Earlier, during her undergraduate days, she was a part-time medical assistant for an allergist in Downtown Los Angeles.
After she completed her dermatology residency from Southern Illinois University, she went to San Diego and did a fellowship training in laser, dermatologic, and cosmetic surgery with the renowned cosmetic surgeon and dermatologist, Dr. Richard E. Fitzpatrick.
She married another dermatologist Jeffrey C. Rebish in the year 2000 and the couple has two sons.
