Philippa Charlotte “Pippa” Middleton is an English socialite, author, and a columnist. She is the younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine Elizabeth Middleton. Pippa Middleton grabbed the attention of the public and the media when she served as the maid of honor at her sister's wedding to Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, in 2011. A well-educated lady, she graduated from the University of Edinburgh before embarking on a career in events management. She is also a columnist and has written articles for several popular magazines and newspapers. She primarily writes on sports, social life, and food. She holds the position of the director at the company PXM Enterprises Limited as well. She is actively involved with a number of non-profit organizations and is an ambassador to the British Heart Foundation (BHF). She published the book, ‘Heartfelt,’ and donated the proceeds from its sale to BHF.
Pippa Middleton completed her studies and started working in the field of public relations for a company dealing in luxury products in the late 2000s. She then joined an events management company in London. The company, Table Talk, specialized in organizing corporate parties and events.
In 2011, Pippa was spotted at her sister’s marriage to the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, as her maid of honor. The beautiful young woman attracted the attention of many at the event. Her popularity saw a phenomenal rise and she was named on the list of the ‘100 most influential people in the world’ by ‘Time’ magazine in 2012.
She worked in her parents’ company, Party Pieces, as an editor of the web magazine ‘Party Times’ for a brief period. She was then offered a huge sum of £400,000 in advance by ‘Penguin Books’, a British publishing house, for a book on party planning. However, the book—which was published in late 2012—failed to perform as well as the company expected. The readers and critics didn’t rate the book highly and criticized the lack of fresh ideas in the book.
She is also a columnist and has written articles for ‘The Sunday Telegraph’ and ‘Waitrose Kitchen,’ a supermarket magazine.
She has been a contributing editor for ‘Vanity Fair’ as well. Her association with ‘The Sunday Telegraph’ didn’t last long and she left the company in 2014. Middleton became the sole Director of PXM Enterprises Limited in 2013. She closed down the company after getting married in 2017.
