As a kid, Nick Kolcheff loved playing video games. But he never thought this could become a career. His father objected to him playing video games and even broke Nick’s Xbox once. Nick started streaming on Twitch in September 2010 and adopted the name Nickmercs. Initially, he played games like ‘Gears of War’ and even streamed ‘Call of Duty’ on Twitch. He went to ‘City High-Middle School’ in Grand Rapids and later graduated from the ‘University of Michigan’. He has two siblings. Nick was good at sports and went on to win a free-throw basketball competition, representing Michigan.
