Melody Thomas Scott first appeared as a child in the 1964 flick ‘Marnie’. After this, she appeared in an episode each of ‘Wagon Train’ and ‘Ironside’. In 1971, she did the flick ‘The Beguiled’. Four years later, the actress appeared as Laurie in the movie ‘Posse’. Soon after this, she got featured in the film ‘The Shootist’. In 1977 and 1978, Scott had roles in the movies ‘The Car’, ‘The Fury’ and ‘Piranha’ as well as in the TV programs ‘The Waltons’ and ‘Charlie's Angels’.

In 1979, she joined the cast of the series ‘The Young and the Restless’ as Nikki Newman. That year, she also guest-starred in the shows ‘Makin' It’, ‘Billy’ and ‘The Rockford Files’. After this, Scott did the TV movie ‘The Scarlett O'Hara War’.

In the year 2001, she appeared in an episode of ‘The King of Queens’. Two years later, she was cast as Linda Flemming in the television film ‘The Paradise Virus’. Then from 2007 to 2014, she made guest appearances on the shows ‘My Name is Earl’, ‘Castle’ and ‘The Crazy Ones’.

Talking about the actress’ love life, she was first married to Lindy Davis and then to Bob Shield. Scott was also in a love relationship with the famous makeup artist Carlos Yeaggy during the 1980s.
