Margo Harshman Biography

Margo Harshman was exposed to the glamour world at a very young age. Her grandmother put her in a beauty pageant when she was just two years old, and a year later, she started learning dancing and gymnastics. She also joined acting classes and started learning piano as a young girl. Harshman appeared in a few films even before entering her teenage, but it took her a few more years to finally get a regular role. Her first notable role came in 2000 when she made her debut on television as ‘Tawny Dean’ in the comedy show ‘Even Stevens’. The show aired on the Disney channel between 2000 and 2003, and Harshman appeared in 47 episodes in that time period. She was nominated at the Young Artist Awards for the Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries or Special - Supporting Young Actress. In the penultimate year of the show, it was announced that the makers will come up with a film based on the show. She appeared along with the original cast in the film which also earned her another nomination at the Young Artist Awards.

She portrayed the lead role, ‘Brooke Franklin’, in the WB sitcom ‘Run of the House’ between 2003 and 2004. The makers shot 19 episodes but the show could only air 16 of them before it got canceled. In 2012, Harshman was cast in the popular comedy show ‘The Big Bang Theory’ as ‘Alex Jensen’. She played the secretary of Jim Parsons’ character of ‘Sheldon Cooper’ in the show. The role was short-lived and she appeared in only four episodes. Between 2013 and 2019, Harshman appeared in the American action police procedural television series ‘NCIS’ as ‘Delilah Fielding’. She portrayed the character of a handicapped intelligence analyst who is the wife of Sean Murray’s character ‘Timothy McGee’.

Margo Cathleen Harshman was born on March 4, 1986, in San Diego, California to Janelle Harshman. She is the fourth of the five children in her family. After spending the initial years of her life in San Diego County, Harshman moved to Orange County, California and attended Foothill High School. In 2017, she married Austen Hooks but filed for divorce within a year.
