Kalama Epstein is an American actor and director, best known for playing Jeremy in the comedy web television series ‘No Good Nick.’ After starting his career as a child actor, Epstein went on to establish himself as a successful television actor by playing prominent roles in series such as ‘Bella and the Bulldogs,’ ‘Liberty Crossing,’ and ‘The Fosters.’ He made his directorial debut in 2018, when he wrote and directed a short film titled ‘Silence.’ Epstein aspires to become a popular filmmaker in the future. Kalama Epstein was born on May 5, 2000, in Oahu, Hawaii, USA, to Kendra Porter Epstein and Dan Epstein. He was raised in Oahu along with his older sisters, Lauren and Kulani. As a kid, he spent a lot of time surfing and hiking in the Hawaiian island chain. He discovered his passion for acting when he played a prominent role in a musical staged at his school. At the age of 11, he was cast to play Jason Schafer in one of the episodes of police procedural television series ‘Hawaii Five-0.’ In 2013, he appeared in an episode titled ‘Same Exactly’ in the popular TV series ‘Ray Donovan.’ In the same year, he played the lead role of Frankie O'Reilly in Sean Brosnan-directed short film ‘The Kid.’ He would later say that Frankie O'Reilly was one of the most challenging roles he ever played.
Epstein made his film debut in 2014, when he was cast to play Billy Davis in Tim Savage-directed family-drama film ‘Under the Blood-Red Sun.’ In the same year, he was also seen in a TV series titled ‘Maker Shack Agency.’
He received his breakthrough role in 2015 when he was cast to play Kyle in the comedy television series ‘Bella and the Bulldogs.’ In 2015, he appeared in TV series such as ‘Dog with a Blog,’ ‘Kroll Show,’ and ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.’ In 2016, he played Jon Stubewitz in Ryan Maples-directed short film ‘Jon & The Wolf.’ In the same year, he landed the role of Noah in a family drama television series titled ‘The Fosters.’ He played Noah from 2016 to 2018, appearing in 18 episodes. In 2018, he played David Adelman in five episodes of comedy television series ‘Liberty Crossing.’ In the same year, he wrote and directed a short film titled ‘Silence’ which earned him critical acclaim. In 2019, he became part of the main cast of American comedy web television series ‘No Good Nick.’ The series, which stars Sean Astin, Siena Agudong, and Melissa Joan Hart among others, premiered on ‘Netflix’ on April 15, 2019.

Kalama Epstein started dating actress Daniela Leon in 2015. Leon is best known for playing Kara in the family-drama TV series ‘Overnights.’ In one of his interviews, Epstein revealed that he is an emotional person and that he does not shy away from crying. He went on to say that he cried six times while watching ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ Apart from acting, writing, and directing, Epstein is passionate about roller coasters and theme parks. He also spends a lot of time playing video games and snowboarding.
He is very close to his parents who live in Hawaii. Though Epstein currently lives in Los Angeles, he visits his hometown frequently to spend time with his parents. He is also close to his sisters, Lauren and Kulani. While Kulani Jenkins works as a producer in New York’s ‘F5 Fest,’ Lauren Whittemore is married and lives with her family in Hawaii.
