June Shannon Biography

(Reality Star)

Birthday: August 10, 1979 (Leo)

Born In: Mcintyre, Georgia, United States

June Shannon, popularly known as June "Mama June" Shannon, rose to fame as the stay-home mother of Alana Thompson, the child artist of the popular show ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ that showcased on TLC from 2012 to 2014, in its first run. However, this one was not her first reality TV show; she and her family first appeared in the reality show “Toddlers & Tiaras” which was being telecasted on the same channel TLC from 2008. June Shannon’s “different” look and “unique” personality were certainly one of the major attractions of both the shows that made her become a common name in American households. ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ was suddenly discontinued by TLC in 2014, due to some serious charges against June Shannon, only to get back later on as ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo: The Lost Episodes’ in 2017. There have been serious accusations and controversies surrounding Shannon and she had also been arrested on theft charges. In 2016, and 2017, she underwent sleeve gastrectomy procedure and also some other weight loss surgery to lose her “infamous” look of 460 pounds. Currently she looks much like her new “avatar”.

When ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ was abruptly discontinued, filming of the episodes for the 5th season of the show was already complete.
