Rise to Stardom

Jailyne Ojeda Ochoa aspired to become a model at an early age and began sharing her pictures on Instagram, which attracted a lot of attention particularly because of her voluptuous appearance. The pictures she uploaded on her profile were turned into memes, both positive and negative, and were widely shared by people, including some celebrities, which gave her more exposure. The experience taught her that “all publicity is good publicity”.

She also took the risk of reaching out to women with bigger Instagram following than her and requested them for collaborations or shout-outs, even in exchange for money, to which some responded positively. By late 2016, she had crossed 5 million followers on Instagram and had launched her original YouTube channel on which she posted short videos like her workout routine, bikini photoshoot session or funny relationship spoofs. She was also signed to the South West Modeling Agency and had been featuring in magazines, commercials and music videos, as well as promotional events for Arizona nightclubs. Her big break came when she appeared in Mexican singer-songwriter Alfredo Olivas’ music video for the song “Tus Lagrimas”.

Struggles with Early Maturity

In a YouTube video titled “I FINALLY OPENED UP”, uploaded on March 25, 2020, Jailyne Ojeda Ochoa opened up about her plights as she grew up attracting unwanted attention due to her figure. She mentioned that she attained puberty early at the age of 10 and was bigger than her peers, making her easy target for bullies. It became more difficult in middle school as her body matured. She recounted one particular experience when she was asked to stay behind after class by a teacher who advised her to wear loose clothing to cover up her body. In the meantime, girls of her class who were jealous of her told her waiting father that she was late because she was making out with a boy. After the chat with the teacher was over, she learned that her frustrated father had left without her, and to make matters worse, she was nearly raped as she was walking back home. In the comment section of the video, she mentioned reaching out to some of her school-mates to come out in a YouTube video after someone corroborated her statement that she received a lot of hate in school.

Controversies & Scandals

While Jailyne Ojeda Ochoa is well past her traumatizing school years, she continues to get hate for her appearance from people online. For someone who has been described having a bigger posterior than popular reality television star Kim Kardashian, people find it difficult to believe when she maintains that “I'm not plastic just have good genes”. Apart from her Latino genes, she has also credited her healthy diet, strict workout regime, and waist trainer belt for her well-toned body. Nevertheless, multiple Reddit threads have popped up accusing her of lying about having plastic surgery. In February 2020, an Instagram page with the handle @false__beauty even shared a series of before and after images of her trying to prove the point. Interestingly, on her 18th birthday in January 2016, Jailyne herself had posted a collage of several of her pictures between ages 14 to 17 to show her rapid transformation. She had claimed that she ate junk food during her first couple of years in high school, but later began eating healthy, drinking a lot of water and exercising as she determined to become a model. She also addressed all the memes about her and urged her fans to not trust photoshopped images of her found on the internet. She further emphasized being against plastic surgery in a later video in which she acknowledged previously going through a botched nose-job, following which she had depressing suicidal thoughts.
