Ivanah Campbell first surfaced on social media on May 14, 2019, when her Facebook profile 'Ivanah the dancer' was created by her aunt, and her images and dance videos were uploaded. Her aunt continued to upload more of her dance videos, often with her dance coach Ash Le Breton. Her videos quickly gathered a huge number of fans who flocked to her profile to be astonished by her impressive dance skills even at such a young age.

On May 29, 2019, an Instagram page for her was created, and pictures and videos of her began appearing on the platform from the next day. One of the videos, posted on her Instagram on June 7, 2019 showed her dancing to the song 'Juice' by singer Lizzo, which was later shared by the singer herself with the caption that it was a "Rare footage of me as a child". The video immediately went viral on the internet with about 5 million views. The post was shared by the morning television show 'Good Morning America', to which Lizzo responded by asking the show to invite her and the child together so that they could perform on the show. After watching the video, both Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith wrote, "This girl has life figured out! I’m bout to go find me some traffic right now … and dance!" Chris Evans re-tweeted the video with the caption "This kid is cooler than I could ever hope to be". Despite only being present on social media for about a month, she now boasts of an enormous fan base that includes iconic celebrities from the entertainment industry from all over the world.

Original Performance

Ivanah Campbell's journey to fame actually began months ago at the Savoy Theatre in London, England, where she was performing as part of the Portia Appolis dance and fitness studio's dance concert in November 2018. She was dancing at the back, but as her friends began to miss the cue and forget their steps, she got bored and began to move forward towards the front of the stage. Soon enough, the parents in the audience began to cheer for her, and even started to take videos of her instead of their own children. Recounting the event, her aunt told 'The Herald' that she was not surprised at what her niece did as she always loved to be in the spotlight. Ivanah herself told the news outlet that music "does something inside my heart". She also added, "When a song plays, my body gets this itching feeling, I just want to dance. When I start dancing I feel so happy." Her aunt was inspired to share her dance videos with the world via Facebook, and then Instagram, after realizing her passion for dancing, as well as her talent.

Ivanah Campbell was born in 2013, in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She lives with her grandparents and her aunt Tania Mejanie. She has been dancing since she was a child, and began training in 2018. She is very passionate about dancing and takes dance lessons under Ash Le Breton and ballet lessons under Portia Appolis. Her dance coach has appeared alongside her on a couple of her videos. Her ballet coach told in an interview that Ivanah has an X-factor and is destined to be a star. She loves hip-hop music because of the beats, and her favorite singers are Chris Brown and Ariana Grande. She also told 'The Herald' that ballet is "too slow for me", but she does it because her grandmother wants her to.
