Fedmyster is the online moniker of Mexican–American 'Twitch' streamer and 'YouTube' personality Federico Michael Gaytan. He began his career as a video editor and worked for 'Offline TV.' He now creates content for his 'YouTube' and 'Twitch' channels. Fedmyster is known for his IRL streams and gaming content related to 'League of Legends,' 'Fortnite,' and 'Apex Legends.' He had already earned prominence while working with 'Offline TV.' However, his fame as an independent content creator shot up after he ventured into 'Twitch.' Childhood & Early Career
Fedmyster was born Federico Michael Gaytan, on August 7, 1995, in the US, to a Mexican–American couple. He has two brothers. Fedmyster attended the 'University of California,' Santa Cruz. However, he dropped out before receiving his degree, as he had to support his family. While attending university, Fedmyster took up a retail job at 'Office Depot' for 6 months. He was a sales consultant and sold laptops and computers. He initially worked in an Encino store and then got transferred to Santa Cruz so that he could simultaneously attend university. In college, Fedmyster wanted to intern for 'Riot Productions' but was rejected. He had previously worked as a production assistant for the teen comedy 'G.B.F.' (or Gay Best Friend), which premiered at the 2013 'TriBeCa Film Festival.’
In October 2014, Fedmyster joined 'Life Lab' Santa Cruz, a leading California-based garden-oriented science, nutrition, and environmental education platform, where he continues to work as an editor and videographer.

Rise to Fame
Fedmyster launched his 'YouTube' channel on December 4, 2014. The channel mainly hosts his live streams, footages, gaming content, and vlogs. Many of Fedmyster’s 'YouTube' videos feature his fellow streamers, such as Pokimane, Disguised Toast, LilyPichu, and Scarra, at his house. Fedmyster posted the first video on the channel, ‘TSM vs C9 Playoff Hype Trailer,’ on March 29, 2016. With over 3.6 million views, the video ‘EYETRACKER EXPOSES ME ft. Yassuo & Pokimane’ is the most-viewed video on the channel. Currently, the channel has over 273 thousand subscribers.

Fedmyster got the opportunity to be a full-time video editor for Christian "IWDominate" Rivera, a content creator and former semi-pro player for 'Team Liquid.' In June 2017, he received an offer to join ‘Offline TV,’ a California-based online social entertainment group. He accepted the offer.
On July 8, 2017, ‘Offline TV’ released a ‘YouTube’ video introducing Fedmyster as the group’s new member. He eventually created several videos with them and earned millions of views for the channel. In January 2018, Fedmyster was officially named as part of talent group, amidst his growing popularity. Around the same time, he made a transition from editing to streaming and began his streaming career on 'Twitch.' Later that year, Fedmyster saw his 'Twitch' fame shoot up. His 'Twitch' emote, 'Fed7,' was used around 431 million times within just 3 months. It became the most popular emote on the site at that time. This was one of the major milestones of Fedmyster’s career.
Fedmyster launched his second 'Twitch' account, 'FEDMYSTER2,' in February 2019. The second channel is primarily meant for gaming content, while he has dedicated the first channel to more IRL streams, following heavy demand from his fans. Fedmyster has over 311 thousand followers on his first 'Twitch' account and around 17 thousand on the second account.
Controversies
Fedmyster witnessed the first major controversy of his career right before he turned into a full-time content creator. He was reportedly banned for Photoshopping inappropriate pictures of his roommates Pokimane and Lilypichu. However, his roommates defended Fedmyster throughout, and Lilypichu even complimented his ‘Photoshop’ skills. Nevertheless, the post was against the terms of service of 'Twitch.' This led to a 24-hour ban on Fedmyster. He made a video about it for his 'YouTube' channel that earned a million views.
Fedmyster was banned for the second time soon after he became a full-time content creator. This time, he was banned for 7 days, as he did not monitor a racist speech in one of his streams. On April 1, 2019, Fedmyster was banned for 14 days, as he live-streamed from Japan in an inebriated state and destroyed property. He, however, took full responsibility for the act and apologized. The ban was lifted on April 14, 2019.

In 2020, OfflineTV removed Fedmyster on charges of allegations of sexual harassment and unwanted touching from two of his housemates. Fedmyster apologized for his behavior and accepted that he is "flawed".

Family & Personal Life
Fedmyster had a difficult childhood, as he had to drop out of university to support his mother and brothers after his father passed away. In a few of his streams, he has talked about how his father's demise had led him to regret some of his life choices. He has also revealed his regret on having held his parents responsible for his wrong choices.
Fedmyster often talks about the difficulties he faced when he joined 'Offline TV.' The remuneration he received for his online stint initially was much less than what he was earning before. Thus, it was a risky decision.
Fedmyster took up violin lessons for 3 years only to impress a girl he had a crush on. He played soccer for 13 years. After a point, he realized that the sport was proving to be too stressful for him. This made him quit soccer, and he started playing football. Unfortunately, he broke his clavicle soon after the first attempt. Fedmyster’s all-time favorite movies are 'Forrest Gump' and 'Pulp Fiction.'
Fedmyster is highly adored by his friends and fellow social-media influencers. He is considered the closest to Pokimane. Fedmyster made a cute gesture by gifting Pokimane a large bouquet to celebrate her first million ‘Twitch’ followers.
