FaZe Rug shot to prominence when people started viewing his videos of the pranks that he played on other people. He always wanted to have fun as a school kid and share his experiences with others. He began recording his pranks and started to upload them on YouTube. As he made more and more videos on pranks, ‘call-of-duty’ issues and vlogs, he found that people wanted to see more of them. So he left college in the first year and got down seriously to make videos. Faze Rug’s videos have become very popular because they look very realistic as he uses a lot of skills and techniques in creating them. He has more than 2.6 million followers on Twitter and more than 6.3 million followers on Instagram.

FaZe Rug was born as Brian Awadis in the city of San Diego in California, United States on November 19, 1996. His parents are from Iraq who had earlier immigrated to the United States. They are sometimes referred to as ‘Mama Rug’ and ‘Papa Rug’. He grew up with his brother Brandon in San Diego like any normal kid and joined college after completing his school education.

Faze Rug got addicted to video games as he could not become a member of the school basketball team. During his school days he was quite naughty and mischievous and he always loved to play pranks on others. He was also interested in sharing his exploits with others and started recording them on videos. While Faze Rug was in the first year of his college days he noticed that his prank videos which he had uploaded to his YouTube channel had attracted a huge number of viewers. He found that he was able to make a good amount of money if he could get more viewers for his videos. In order to devote more time to creating more videos, Faze Rug left college and got busy in making videos full time and uploading them to YouTube.

Faze Rug was in a relationship with YouTuber Molly Eskam. Thereafter, he dated Instagram star Baeeeeelyn, but they broke up in May 2021.

Faze Rug starred in a horror film titled Crimson. The film was released in October 2020.
