Daniel Dwayne Simmons III aka Diggy Simmons is an American singer, actor and model. He is best known as the son of the famous rapper and DJ Joseph "Rev. Run" Simmons. He, along with his parents and five siblings, appeared on the reality television show ‘Run's House’ that ran from 2005 to 2009. A former member of the hip-hop collective All City Chess Club, Simmons has also contributed to a number of singles, both as a lead and a featured artist. In 2010, he launched his own line of urban sneakers under the name ‘Chivalrous Culture’. The singer, who has been inspired by many well known artists like Jay Z, Nas, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Wu-Tang Clan and A Tribe Called Quest, released his debut studio album ‘Unexpected Arrival’ in 2012. The album received generally positive reviews from the critics. Talking about Simmons’ achievements, he has been nominated for various awards like the BET Awards, Teen Choice Awards and NAACP Image Awards to name a few.

Singing Career
In 2009, Diggy Simmons released his first ever mixtape titled ‘The First Flight’. Following its release, Simmons signed with Atlantic Records. Soon after this, he released his song “Made You Look” that went on to become a viral hit. Simmons next came up with his track “Oh Yeah” which featured Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell Williams. He then released his second mix tape ‘Airborne’. In December 2010, the singer released his third mix tape titled ‘Past Presents Future’ that included popular songs of the 1980s and 1990s by artists like A Tribe Called Quest, Nas and Rakim.
After this, Simmons joined a group called "B(before 20)12”. He released his first ever major label single titled "Copy, Paste" in 2011. On October 24, 2011, he released his song "Do It Like You" as the second single from his upcoming debut album ‘Unexpected Arrival.’ Then, he released the song "88" as the third official single of the album. The album itself was released on March 20, 2012, a day before the American singer’s 17th birthday. In 2014, Simmons released the first song titled "My Girl" from his upcoming Extended Play ‘Out of This World.’

Acting Career
From 2005 to 2009, Diggy Simmons appeared in the reality TV show ‘Run's House’. He then had a minor role in the 2012 comedy ‘Parental Guidance’. After this, he landed his own TV movie/show pilot titled ‘The Start-Up’. He has also appeared in the TV series ‘Grownish.’
