Cynthia Watros is an American actress known for appearing as Annie Dutton on the TV series ‘Guiding Light’ and as Libby Smith on the sitcom ‘Lost’. She is also known for doing main roles in the TV programs ‘Titus’, ‘The Drew Carey Show’ and ‘Finding Carter’ as well as for guest-starring in the shows 'House M.D.', 'Video Game High School', 'Another World’ and 'Men of a Certain Age'. The actress has done a number of television movies in her acting career as well. On the big screen, she has performed in films and short films like 'Mercy Streets', 'The Yellow Bird', 'P.S. Your Cat Is Dead', 'Just Pray', 'Calvin Marshall' and 'Electrick Children'. Talking about Watros’ awards and honors, she received the ‘Daytime Emmy Award’ under the category ‘Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series’ for ‘Guiding Light’ in 1998. She, along with the rest of the cast, also won the Screen Actors Guild Award under the category Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for their work in ‘Lost’ in 2006.

Cynthia Watros first gained limelight for her performance in the 1994 drama series ‘Guiding Light’. She then appeared in the series ‘Another World’ and ‘Profiler’. Then in 2000, she was cast as Erin Fitzpatrick for the series ‘Titus’. The same year, she did the movie ‘Mercy Streets’. Then from 2002 to 2004, the actress played Kellie Newmark in ‘The Drew Carey Show’. During this time, she also did the flick ‘P.S. Your Cat Is Dead’. Then in 2005, Watros did the short film ‘Just Pray’ as well as the TV movie ‘Washington Street’. The same year, she joined the cast of the drama ‘Lost’.
From 2007 to 2009, the American beauty got featured in many small and big screen projects including 'Avenging Angel', 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent', 'The Bill Engvall Show', 'In Plain Sight', 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation', 'Criminal Minds', 'Calvin Marshall' and 'American Crude'. Watros then played Sam Carr in the sitcom ‘House M.D.’ in 2012. That year, she also appeared in an episode of ‘Hawaii Five-0’ and ‘Grey's Anatomy’. She was also cast in the film ‘Electrick Children’ the same year.
Soon after this, the actress began playing Mary Matrix and Kelly Andrews in the series ‘Video Game High School’ and ‘The Young and the Restless’ respectively. She then had a main role in the drama ‘Finding Carter’. From 2015 to 2017, Watros got featured in the television movies ‘Stolen from the Suburbs’, ‘Washed Away’ and ‘Deadly Exchange’.

Cynthia Watros was born as Cynthia Michele Watros on September 2, 1968 in Lake Orion, Michigan, USA, to parents Bruce and Nancy. She has an older brother named Steven. She studied at the Macomb Community College. Later she did the Professional Actors Training Program from Boston University and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre from there.
Watros has been married to Curtis Gilliland since 1996. The couple has twin daughters.
