Catherine Valdes, better known as “Catrific,” or “Cat,” is a popular American ‘YouTube’ personality. She is one of the founding members of ‘Summoners Con,’ an annual convention for ‘League of Legends’ players from all over the world. She owns three 'YouTube' channels that feature her vlogs, storytime videos, pranks, challenges, and hauls. Catherine has created numerous videos on a number of sensitive and debatable issues, too. Thus, she was eventually categorized as a serious vlogger. However, some of her statements have got her into serious trouble. Catherine is an actor, too, and has been associated with a few acting projects.

Catherine's main channel contains numerous storytime videos, through which she has shared her own traumatic life experiences and has also discussed a couple of sensitive issues. This particular video segment has covered topics such as depression, bullying, drugs, sexual orientation, self-acceptance, and others. Though Catherine has gathered accolades for bringing up such issues on a public platform, some of her comments have also got her into troubled waters.
While discussing a particular topic in one of her videos, she made a few statements in support of Luke Conard, who has been accused of sexual and verbal abuse by multiple women. Catherine soon found herself surrounded by haters. She later posted a video clarifying her statement. She said that her comments were misunderstood and that she had never supported any rapist. She also apologized for accusing girls of fabricating stories of sexual abuse to get attention.
Catherine’s association with the “YouTuber” duo ‘Dan and Phil,’ too, has brought her several hate comments. A lot of 'Dan and Phil' fans believed Catherine would wreck their dynamics. Catherine has also been targeted for promoting an application known as 'Vessel' that charged money for “early access” to videos. Viewers felt that the service violated the purpose of 'YouTube' and that such services should not be promoted by any vlogger. Catherine was also accused of featuring people in her videos without their permission.
Catherine Valdes was born Catherine Elizabeth Valdes, on May 16, 1989, in Orlando, Florida. Her father, Armando, is of Cuban descent, and her mother, Tricia, is American. Catherine has two older brothers, Matt and Paul, and a younger sister, Sarah.
At the age of 3, Catherine wished to be a dolphin trainer, after being amazed by what she saw at 'SeaWorld.' When she turned 8, Catherine and her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, as her father got a job there as an operator at the American fast-food restaurant chain ‘Chick-Fil-A.’ Catherine’s mother was a teacher back then. Hence, Catherine was homeschooled for the next two years, after which she joined ‘King’s Academy.’
Catherine was just 14 when she got her first job at 'Chick-Fil-A.' In just two years, she was promoted to the post of manager. Catherine was once robbed while working at 'Chick-Fil-A,’ which she describes as one of the most terrifying experiences of her life. The following year, she completed high school.
Apart from working at 'Chick-Fil-A,' Catherine also worked as a full-time nanny and as a server at a restaurant known as ‘California Dreamin′.’ Her childhood wish was fulfilled when she volunteered at the 'Georgia Aquarium.'
In 2009, Catherine joined 'Kennesaw St. University,’ Georgia, to study biology. She soon realized that biology was not her cup of tea. She dropped out and joined 'Bethel Christian School' in Redding, California, to learn faith and religion. Soon, she decided to make a career on 'YouTube.' After completing all the semesters, she bagged a job in San Francisco.
Catherine also briefly worked for the popular website 'Daily Booth.' However, she soon got bored and quit the job. She then moved to Los Angeles.
Catherine owns a French Bulldog named Beta. Her all-time favorite 'Disney' movie is 'Peter Pan.' She is a huge fan of the series 'Game of Thrones.'
