Career
  • Avi began his career in 2008, with a brief appearance in the drama film 'Jolene.' Based on the short story 'Jolene: A Life’ by EL Doctorow, the film was about a teenage orphan and her traveling experiences. Avi played the 7-month-old version of the character ‘Brad Benton,’ born into a wealthy family. Asher played the 5-year-old version of ‘Brad.’ The movie was co-produced by Avi’s maternal grandfather, Riva Yares, who is a prominent figure in the Scottsdale art world.
  • After his first film appearance, Avi did not work in any project. He focused on his studies instead and worked hard to polish his acting skills. His next acting project came to him in 2017. Avi was cast as ‘Ivan’ in the 2017 miniseries 'Crossroads.' He appeared in one of its episodes, titled 'Lightning Bug.' He was seen in the episode titled 'I Got Your Number’ in the third season of the 'Disney Channel' teen comedy–drama 'Andi Mack.' Avi played the young version of the character ‘TJ Kippen,’ a basketball team captain, played by Luke Mullen. This series, too, starred Asher (as ‘Jonah Beck’). Asher later became famous for this role. Previously, in 2015, Avi had participated in Arizona's 'Fashion Week 4 Kids.' He also owns a self-titled 'YouTube' channel. He joined ‘YouTube’ on July 23, 2016, but has published only one video to date. His subscriber base on the platform is not too impressive. Currently, Avi’s channel has around 2,853 subscribers. Avi, however, is relatively more active on the 'Instagram' page titled 'avisamuelangel,' where his posts have earned him more than 159 thousand followers. The page is, however, run and managed by his parents. Avi once posted a heartfelt note for his father, which revealed his beautiful bond with him.
