Although Ashlay was passionate about performing in front of the camera, she never thought of making a career on ‘YouTube.’ Ashlay began posting videos on TikTok to try her hand at something new. She was also pursuing her medical career quite seriously back then.

Unlike other regular "musers," Ashlay chose comedy over lip-syncs. She primarily posts comedy skits on TikTok. She plays various characters in the videos. Two of her popular portrayals are that of ‘Granny Melba’ and ‘Hill-Billy Bob.’ Soon, Ashlay’s videos went viral and her name was placed at the top of the TikTok leaderboard. Her videos became so popular that her original sounds are now used by many "musers" for their videos. Ashlay has also performed on Melanie Martinez’s track ‘Mad Hatter.’ Ashlay became a verified and “crowned muser" in December 2016, after earning over two million followers and more than 200 million TikTok "hearts". She has collaborated with other established TikTok stars such as Rebecca Zamolo, Enoch Rue, Jason Coffee, and Lauren Godwin. Such collaborations have helped her establish herself as a star "muser."

Ashlay owns a 'YouTube' channel named ‘ASHLAY SOTO,’ where she posts her TikTok videos. She has posted a number of makeup tutorials, too, but they mostly resemble spoofs or comedy skits. Her ‘YouTube’ channel, however, is not as popular as her TikTok account. The channel now has 200K subscribers. She is also active on 'Instagram,' where her cute and adorable family pictures have captivated more than 400K followers.

Ashlay Soto was born on May 1, 1990, in Irving, Texas. She grew up with her six sisters and three brothers. Ashlay got married to Miguel Soto in November 2016. She has a son named Elijah and two daughters named Olivia and Maya. 

Before Ashlay began her career in social media, she worked for a foot doctor in Saginaw, Texas, after receiving her medical assistant license.
