Born at 05:26 BST (04:26 UTC) on May 6, 2019, at the Portland Hospital in London, Archie Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is the son of Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. His father hails from the British Royal Family where as, his mother grew up in an American working-class household. Meghan, whose original name is Rachel Meghan Markle, was a prominent actress prior to her marriage to Prince Harry. She garnered fame for portraying Rachel Zane in USA Network’s legal drama series ‘Suits’ (2011-18). She has also appeared in films like ‘Get Him to the Greek’ (2010), ‘Horrible Bosses’ (2011), and ‘Dysfunctional Events’ (2012).

From 2011 and 2013, Meghan Markle was married to actor and filmmaker Trevor Engelson. After their divorce, Markle was in a two-year-long relationship with celebrity chef and restaurateur Cory Vitiello. They broke up in May 2016. In past, Prince Harry has reportedly dated Chelsy Davy, the daughter of South Africa-based Zimbabwean businessman Charles Davy, and Cressida Bonas, granddaughter of Edward Curzon, 6th Earl Howe. He and Markle began their relationship in June 2016 after meeting each other on a blind date that was organised by a mutual friend. They made their first public appearance together in September 2017. At present, Archie is the youngest member of the royal family. He has three first cousins through Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge: Prince George of Cambridge, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, and Prince Louis of Cambridge. He also has four second cousins. Archie’s grandmother, Lady Diana Spencer, passed away on August 31, 1997. He is the step-grandson of his grandfather’s second wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. According to the reports published by The Times, his baptism ceremony is going to be held in July 2019 at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Archie’s maternal grandparents are Thomas Markle Sr., a former television lighting director and director of photography, and Doria Ragland, a retired social worker and yoga instructor.

As Archie’s father is not the firstborn son of Prince Charles, Archie is not regarded as a prince of the United Kingdom and cannot use the style “Royal Highness”. One of Prince Harry’s subsidiary titles, Earl of Dumbarton, for instance, could have been used to address him, but his parents decided to bring him up as a private citizen and be styled as Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. While his great-grandmother is on the throne, he is after his paternal grandfather, uncle, first cousins, and father in the line of succession.

From the time Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their relationship public, Meghan has been subjected to racism and sexism.
