American actor and martial artist Brandon Lee landed up with his first credited acting role in the 1986 TV movie ‘Kung Fu: The Movie’. His first leading role in a film came with the 1986 Hong Kong action flick ‘Legacy of Rage’ that fetched him a nomination for Best New Performer award at the Hong Kong Film Award. He then went on to star in low-budget action films ‘Laser Mission’ (1989) and ‘Showdown in Little Tokyo’ (1991) with the latter marking his American film debut. His breakthrough, however, came with the 1994 dark fantasy action film ‘The Crow’ which marked his final film appearance due to his untimely death before its release.
Brandon forayed into acting following footsteps of his late father, the legendary Hong Kong and American actor, film director and martial artist Bruce Lee. Although son of a famous actor, Brandon too had to face initial struggles to get a foothold in showbiz. His big break in films came after almost a decade of his acting career.
Filmography of Brandon Lee includes top grossing films ‘Rapid Fire’ (1992) and ‘The Crow’ that won him Best Actor award at Fangoria Chainsaw Awards posthumously. His film ‘Showdown in Little Tokyo’ became a box-office failure.
